On Thursday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk suspended Kanye West’s Twitter account. The rapper’s Twitter account was reinstated last month after being restricted over antisemitic remarks. When Ye returned to the social media site, he again dug into controversial issues with his unapologetic and confrontational stance, which ended up with him being restricted for an unknown period.

After Kanye West posted many controversial tweets along with Elon Musk’s unflattering beach body picture, people began speculating about why he was suspended from the social media site. Before getting restricted from Twitter, Kanye West tweeted and reportedly accused the $160M Phoenix Suns NBA star Chris Paul of having an affair with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian while they were still married. Later, Elon Musk clarified why Ye’s account was suspended from the platform.

Why Did Elon Musk Terminate Kanye West’s Twitter Account?

It quickly became rumored that Twitter CEO Elon Musk suspended Kanye West‘s Twitter account after the rapper posted an unflattering picture of Musk on the social media site. The situation was clarified later on by Musk, who tweeted that the rapper had violated Twitter’s rules for incitement to violence again with the controversial tweets. He was not suspended because of Musk’s unflattering picture tweet.

Musk tweeted,

“I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”

Within two weeks of returning, the rapper posted an image that blended a Swastika with the Star of David. Following an interview with InfoWars host Alex Jones in which Ye praised Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, the rapper was suspended from the social media site. Then, the rapper tweeted a bizarre picture of the NBA player with many unhinged comments.

After his clarification tweet, Musk again tweeted a few minutes later, which read, “FAFO.”

The tweet caused confusion, and people started reacting to it and targeting former president Donald Trump for his aggressive tweets. According to reports, Musk’s changes to Twitter following his purchase of the platform have increased racism, antisemitism, and other toxic speech.

Elon Musk And Kanye West’s Long-Term Bromance

Among them is an anti-Semitic rapper running for president. Another is the richest man in the world, who posts memes on the social media platform he bought on a whim. Both have been friends for over a decade.

The pair may not appear to have much in common at first glance, but their years-long relationship explains why Musk continues to support the West despite his anti-Semitic remarks. West and Musk met in 2011 when the SpaceX owner took the rapper on a private tour of the rocket factory.

Upon seeing a photo of the two men at the factory, Musk recalled their friendship fondly, calling it a “hell of a decade.”

Despite their bromance, Musk had to terminate West’s Twitter account over his controversial tweets as the rapper left no choice for him.
