“I genuinely love him”: Helen Mirren Went Weak in Her Knees While Filming S-x Scene With Harrison Ford in Yellowstone Prequel
The cast of Yellowstone is teasing fans with juicy behind-the-scenes information as they wait for the second season of its prequel series,1923. The most recent is from the celebrated actress, Helen Mirren, who portrayed Cara Dutton, the matriarch and wife of Jacob Dutton (played by Harrison Ford). The actress was candid during a panel discussion with The Wrap when talking about shooting bedroom scenes with Harrison Ford.
In The Wrap Screening Series of the film, 1923, Mirren recalled shooting a scene in which their characters, Jacob and Cara Dutton, shared a bed. The 77-year-old actress admitted that while she and Ford were filming their s-x scene for the Yellowstone prequel series, 1923, she had to “pretend to be cool”.
Mirren even talked about how happy she was to work with the 80-year-old Indiana Jones actor and what it was like to be around him on set.
In attendance at the live panel discussion were her co-stars, Brandon Sklenar and Aminah Nieves. Mirren, who has a long list of acting credits to her name, is still a well-known figure in the entertainment world despite her advanced age. Ford and Mirren collaborated on The Mosquito Coast for the first time in 1986.

When Helen Mirren ‘Had to Pretend to Be Cool’ With Harrison Ford During 1923 Bedroom Scenes
During Thursday’s The Wrap Screening Series, Helen Mirren discussed her experience filming intimate scenes with Harrison Ford for the Yellowstone prequel series, 1923. The Queen star gushed about Ford’s professionalism and humility despite his success and fame.
When asked about filming with Ford, Mirren said,
“I had to be in the bed with him, you know. But I’m lying there and I’m thinking, ‘I’m in bed with Harrison Ford.’ I was so excited, I can’t tell you. I had to pretend to be cool. Don’t tell him. Promise me.”
Harrison Ford, with whom she had her first collaboration on the 1986 movie, The Mosquito Coast, was also praised by the Oscar winner for his cordial behavior on set.
“He [Ford] is amazing,” Mirren continued, complimenting his morals and diligence.
“The stature he’s held, as a major, humongous movie star, all that time, at the same time as somebody who doesn’t love the limelight. He has this interior quality about him… Not remotely spoiled movie star at all. I genuinely love him. If I wasn’t married…”
Harrison Ford Thinks Helen Mirren Is ‘Still S*xy’
Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren were very fond of each other, as was evident in a recent interview. The Morning Glory actor, who shares the screen with Mirren in the Yellowstone prequel series, 1923, admitted that he still finds Mirren to be “s*xy”.
“She is still s*xy,” the 80-year-old actor affirmed.
In their previous collaboration, The Mosquito Coast, a 1986 drama, Mirren and Ford famously slept together in a scene that sparked controversy among viewers. He admitted, “It’s been remarkable to watch her.”
Ford even made the following comment about his co-star’s performance in 1923:
“There’s a lot of physical action, and she just jumps right in and does stuff you don’t imagine Helen Mirren would do… Dame Helen Mirren.”
Moreover, there is no set release date for 1923‘s second season, as it is currently in production.
