“I have been told a few times”: Tom Cruise Got a Stern Warning While Doing Death-Defying Stunts to Convince Fans He’s Still Mortal
Hollywood legend Tom Cruise once found himself in a situation that left both fans and professionals in amazement, in a heart-pounding demonstration of commitment to his work. Tom Cruise, who is renowned for pushing the limits of action movies, engaged in several life-threatening stunts that not only shocked the entertainment industry but also the fans.
But being a megastar, the actor was given reminders. Even though his outstanding stunts stun fans on-screen, Tom Cruise is a mortal, and this is what the actor explained and recalled why he was given a reminder.
Tom Cruise Once Got a Harrowing Stunt Warning
Tom Cruise is known for performing his risky stunts in movies, even if it results in a few broken bones and bruises. However, he occasionally overlooks the fact that the typical individual isn’t exactly passionate about regularly threatening life and limb. In an appearance on a talk show, Cruice revealed how he was given a reminder to stop smiling while filming a death-defying stunt. The actor even revealed that he sometimes forgets to remain in the character as the excitement is super strong. Tom Cruise in The Graham Norton Show said:
“I am a very physical actor and I love doing them. I study and train and take a lot of time figuring it all out. I have broken a lot of bones! The first time of any stunt is nerve-wracking, but it’s s also exhilarating. I have been told a few times during shooting a stunt to stop smiling.”
Like with any long-running action franchise, when Mission: Impossible releases new movies, fans anticipate ever-increasing action scenes that will feature bigger explosions and riskier circumstances. Over the years, acts like jumping from planes at various heights, holding on to the exterior of an airplane during takeoff, and guiding automobiles through high-speed chase scenes have made Cruise euphoric and he’s always excited to thrill his fans with every action movie he steps in.
Tom Cruise’s Years of Bone-Cracking and Near-Death Encounters
Tom Cruise has never failed to amaze his fans every time he does a stunt, but this is not as easy as viewers might think. Tom Cruise’s body has endured broken bones throughout the years, as well as near-death experiences. He experienced a couple of blackouts while learning to hold his breath underwater while filming Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. In Mission: Impossible – Fallout, he fractured his ankle while jumping from one building to another. Even after getting injuries while filming stunts, Cruise hasn’t stopped, his excitement will remain the same as he had while filming his first stunt.
In the latter stages of his career, Tom Cruise switched to the action-hero character after originally developing his career through diversified jobs spanning several genres. Cruise also starred in the Jack Reacher thrillers in addition to his continued participation in the spy-focused Mission: Impossible series. In these movies, where actors often rely on trained stunt performers for physically demanding parts, he is renowned for carrying out several dangerous feats.
