“I have body dysmorphia”: Despite Greek Goddess Physique That Shatters Men With a Single Look, Megan Fox Naever Liked Her Body
The standards celebrities set in the contemporary world are without comparison (and unrealistic to a degree). The obsession with skin color and body shape has caused no end of problems for society at large. And the standards set up by them have come back to bite them often. Megan Fox is one such person. The Transformers star, even though she is considered one of the most beautiful women in the industry, has had her fair share of struggles with body dysmorphia.
Megan Fox reveals that she is facing body dysmorphia
Much to the world’s shock, Megan Fox recently revealed that she has been facing issues associated with body dysmorphia. The 37-year-old, who is acknowledged for her beauty and s*x appeal all around the world, made the revelations in the course of her interview for the new Sports Illustrated 2023 Swimsuit Issue, which she is a cover girl of.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star told Sports Illustrated,
“I have body dysmorphia – I don’t ever see myself the way other people see me. There’s never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever.”
These are words that no one can wrap their heads around.
It started when she was young
Fox opened up about the issue further in the course of the interview, delving deep into when it all started for her. She said,
“When I was little, that was an obsession I had of, like, but I should look this way. And why I had an awareness of my body that young I’m not sure.”
She couldn’t ascertain what was the reason behind the same, negating any impact her environment could have had as she “grew up in a very religious environment where bodies weren’t even acknowledged.”
The journey of finding out the truth about the same is still ongoing. But what she’ll try to focus on is how to work her way around.
Megan Fox about the journey of loving herself
Fox continued, “The journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending, I think.” It is going to be a long road ahead. And for all purposes, her latest collaboration with Sports Illustrated could be the next step for her. She said, “Shooting Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is definitely a lot of pressure.”
On what the future holds for her, she said,
“I have a vision in my head that I’m trying to achieve, so we’ll see if it pans out for me. What I most want people to know is that I’m a genuine soul who is hoping to actually belong to something and not always have to live as a misunderstood outcast.”
We hope the Till Death star is able to exorcise the ghosts of her past.
