“I have other interests that means more to me”: Brad Pitt Wanted to Retire From Acting After He Got Bored With His Movies
Brad Pitt is among the most well-honored Hollywood actors in the industry. He has been in the industry for decades and has more than 50 movies where he has played the lead and always left fans excited with his acting skills and also the unique plotline of the movies he plays.
Pitt has been known for acting in movies which has always gained a lot of praise from the viewers, thanks to the amazing plot and his incredible acting which is also why he has been loved by the fans.
However, it’s not the same case with the actor as he doesn’t see acting to be his life forever. Recently, Pitt revealed that during his initial times in Hollywood, he planned to exit the industry.
Brad Pitt Feels Limited Time Left for Hollywood Acting Career
During an interview with Hello, Brad Pitt shared what he used to feel during his initial days at Hollywood where the Bullet Train star gained a decent popularity and was getting good projects to work on.
Even after having good projects in his hands, the actor used to feel that he has reached the so-called “peak” of his acting and the star power in the industry.
“On one hand, I’m hitting my stride now. On the other hand, I’ll tell you truthfully, I’m completely bored with myself in films. I am still at a viable age, but I’m hitting the cusp”
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star was just in his 30s when he was already losing interest in acting and in fact, he used to believe that he would last in the industry for the next five years only.
“I have other interests that I want to pursue that mean more to me,” Pitt said. “I think there’s room to go away from it for a while and then you can come back and reinvent.”
The lead star of Babylon shared him having many different interests other than acting and he wanted to figure out things beyond acting, and if things didn’t work well, we could make a reentry to the world of acting.
Brad Pitt Had Plans to Swift from Acting to Film Producing When He Turns 50
After Pitt’s statement on his thoughts about his retirement left many fans with the question if Pitt is going to put down his crown from Hollywood as an actor.
Pitt’s thoughts on his retirement hit him because he used to think that his career in Hollywood may not last for him for a long period.
“I’m really enjoying the producorial (sic) side … and getting stories to the plate that may have had a harder time otherwise. I’ve gotten away with a few things and I’ve been pissed off by a few things,” he said.
Later he changed his decision to go with acting till he turns 50, and maybe from acting, he would love to switch to becoming a film producer.
As of now, there are few movies and TV shows where Vanisher from Deadpool 2 has contributed as a producer which includes Netflix’s The King (2019), Ad Astra (both starred and produced), and many more.

Is Brad Pitt Retiring Any Time Soon?
Right now, the 59-year-old star and it looks like the Mr and Mrs. Smith star has stayed in the industry for more than he expected.
During his interview, the interviewer did ask him if now also he thinks the same or if he is planning to announce his retirement any time soon, to which the Oscar winner star said,
“I consider myself on my last leg,” he said. “This last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?”
“I’m not getting out by any means”
“I’m over that hump of middle age and so I’m looking at that last leg… how do I want to spend that time? At my age, you’ve made enough mistakes… now there’s a comfort in applying that kind of wisdom.”

To give fans relief, The Lost City star shared that he is not planning to retire and he will be sticking to stay around in the industry. However, right now he is giving more preference to act less and give that opportunity to young new talent in the industry.
