‘I just didn’t want that…”: Jennifer Lopez Scared of Daughter Emme Stealing Her Thunder? JLo Stopped Rising Star Daughter from Starring in ‘Limitless’
Jennifer Lopez has had quite a love life. She is currently in her fourth marriage and even that seems to be in the doldrums, according to several reports. But the two people who have remained an absolute constant for her are her two kids, Emme and Max, who she shares with her third husband, Marc Anthony. And being a nepo kid, Emme Maribel Muñiz has already got a fair deal of big breaks so far.
She performed at the iconic 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show starring her mother and Shakira. She also starred in JLo’s 2018 Limitless music video. However, the Jenny on the Block singer once revealed that she was hell-bent on not letting her daughter get cast in the video.
Jennifer Lopez gushed about her daughter’s Super Bowl performance
Jennifer Lopez‘s daughter, Emme, 14, gave quite a performance during her stint at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Taking into account that she was only 12 years old back then adds to the awe. But she has grown up with the guidance of one of the most popular and successful performers in the world, so it really isn’t that surprising.
For JLo, however, it was quite a proud moment to have her daughter perform beside her. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, she recalled her feelings and emotions at that moment, claiming that it felt “exhilarating,” and also “filled her up.” She was then asked if Emme had always been an outgoing persona and a performer, to which the Shotgun Wedding actor said that it was the opposite. Of the two siblings, her daughter is the quiet one – the thinker. She said,
“My son is very loud and rambunctious and full of energy and Emme is the opposite. She’s the yin to his yang. But she feels very comfortable performing and singing onstage.”
She then went on to share how surprised she was by her daughter’s talent because she always took her to be really shy. But the first time she got face to face with her ‘gift’, was while casting for her 2018 music video, Limitless.
