Mia Goth entered into the film industry with the erotic art film Nymphomaniac. She earned a lot of fame through her works in The Survivalist, Suspiria, and Emma. She has also shared the screen with Robert Pattinson in the 2018 sci-fi-horror, High Life.
Astonishing to see that the Infinity Pool actress is not so fond of the movies that cinephiles love. The Tenet actor was at a loss for words after discovering Goth’s preferences. Although Pattison must have shared a lot of time with Goth on the sets of High Life, he was still left shell-shocked after what she said about two of his most famous films.
The Blade Star’s Movie Preferences Left Robert Pattinson Surprised
The 30-year-old British blew Pattinson’s mind with her answers regarding the kind of movie she does not like. On being asked about whether she liked the Twilight series, Goth hesitated a bit at first but still came clean that Twilight isn’t something that she connects to.
Not just that, she also revealed that she never really had a thing for the Lord of the Rings series or the Harry Potter series. Mia Goth expressed during an interview with Variety:
You know I just never really connected to those kinds of movies. I never really understood like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings.
As soon as Pattinson heard the response, he immediately laughed in disbelief that Goth wasn’t interested in two of his best movies. Not just Pattinson, but probably many others were surprised upon knowing that Goth is not fond of the movies that are very important to pop culture.
Pattinson joked that Goth is simply trying to say that all the films that he has ever worked in are not good enough to have a place in her heart. However, she mentioned that although she personally isn’t a great fan of Twilight or Harry Potter, the movies are genuinely important to her friends.
Robert Pattinson Believes Twilight Is “A Strange Story”
Pattinson once said that Twilight, which is his most famous work, is kind of a twisted story. His dislike for the film series is not a secret but in more recent years, he seems to have come to terms with his involvement in the fantasy series.
During Variety’s Actors on Actors, Pattinson and Jennifer Lopez sat down to discuss their movies The Lighthouse and Hustlers, respectively. During the interview, the High on Life opened up about Twilight.
Twilight is about this guy who finds the one girl he wants to be with, and also wants to eat her. Well, not eat — drink her blood or whatever. I thought it was a strange story. Even the way I promoted it, I was very open about how strange I thought it was when I was doing it.
The story was genuinely weird to him but he mentioned that he was at peace after witnessing people being in love with the series. He further added that maybe people loved Twilight because of the very romantic books. However, he also stated that the movie adaptations of those books were not romantic like The Notebook, but romantic nevertheless.
