“I literally wouldn’t be here without you”: Harry Styles Owes Sprawling Career to Mom for Making One Major Decision Without His Consent
Singer Harry Styles has left everyone shocked as he managed to win big at the BRIT Awards 2023. The singer won four awards, Album of the Year award for Harry’s House, Song of the Year award for his song As It Was, Best Pop/R&B act award, as well as Artist of the Year award. After winning awards in all the categories he was nominated for, the singer hopped onto the stage and gave an emotional speech.
Styles thanked his former boy band members, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik. The singer also thanked his mother and her one decision that completely changed his life. He also managed to win two awards recently at the 65th Grammy Awards.
Harry Styles won four BRIT awards
On Saturday, singer Harry Styles shook the music industry after he managed to win four awards at the 2023 BRIT Awards. He was nominated in four categories and managed to win all of them, Album of the Year award for Harry’s House, Song of the Year award for his song As It Was, Best Pop/R&B act award, and Artist of the Year award. During his speech, he revealed the one person who is responsible for his success.
The singer’s mother signed him up for X factor without telling him
Harry Styles revealed that his mother signed him up for The X Factor without telling him. He also thanked his One Direction bandmates, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik. He said,
“I want to thank my mum for signing me up for X Factor without telling me, so I literally wouldn’t be here without you. I want to thank Niall, Louis, Liam, and Zayn because I wouldn’t be here without you either. Thank you so much.”
One Direction was formed back in 2010 on The X Factor and the group dropped its first album in 2012. All of them together dropped four albums until 2015 when Zayn Malik announced his departure from the group. The remaining members then dropped a final album called Made In The A.M. and announced that they are going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
Harry Styles also won two awards at the 65th Grammy Awards
The singer was nominated for six Grammy Awards and managed to win the Album of the Year award for his album Harry’s House and also won best pop vocal album. It sparked debates online as people claimed that Beyoncé should have won instead. During his acceptance speech, he said he was “grateful” for the recognition, and added, “This doesn’t happen to people like me very often.” This statement caused outrage as people said he is the 33rd white man to have accepted the award.
