“I love that guy so much”: Cameron Diaz Finally Breaks Silence on Upsetting Rumors From Her Final Movie With Jamie Foxx
Rumours and speculations are part of the Hollywood industry. Certain false news makes the rounds and holds the power to make or break someone’s career. Recent rumours about Jamie Foxx’s misbehaviour have been making headlines. His upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action is currently being filmed along with a stellar cast of Cameron Diaz, Glenn Close, and Kyle Chandler.
Jamie Foxx’s Misbehaviour on Set
Recently, claims were being made that Cameron Diaz found it challenging to work with Jamie Foxx and that he could send her back into retirement. Known for her work in Charlie’s Angels, What Happens in Vegas, and Knight and Day, Diaz was last seen in Annie after which she took a break from acting to focus on her personal life and family. Setting the record straight, Diaz said on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast,
“I really hate all of the things being said about our set at the time. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?’ Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun.”
Foxx and Diaz have been good friends and she expressed her sadness over such bitter rumours that affect a person adversely. She further added that there were certain speedbumps along the road as they do in every line of work but nothing got delayed. Diaz could not further elaborate on the “hiccups” but she did her best to defend her co-star.
“Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew. Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him and he’s just a professional on every level.”
Reportedly, Foxx suffered a medical complication in April that shifted the shooting schedule a bit. He’s doing better now and Diaz was happy to report the same. Moreover, Foxx himself is apparently unbothered by such rumours as he claims to “let people talk.”
What Happened on Back in Action Set?
Allegedly, Foxx had a meltdown on the latest movie’s set where he faced issues with the crew and the situation. There are even some claims that suggest an executive producer, an assistant director, a unit director, and his personal driver were fired by the actor due to the aforementioned issues.
The conditions on the set became so bad that some sources claimed Diaz would not return for another movie after Back in Action. This made clear that Diaz had to come forward to clarify the rumours and protect her co-star’s image in public. Both Diaz and Foxx have given incredible performances in the past and watching them in a comedy movie together will be fun for all their fans.
