Former professional basketball player Lamar Odom recently opened up about his drug addiction and how it affected his marriage with socialite Khloe Kardashian. The former athlete explained that drugs controlled him while he was married to the socialite. The two got married in 2009 but their relationship took a turn in 2013 when Lamar Odom got hospitalized. They ultimately got divorced in December 2016.:
The former NBA star explained recently that he couldn’t hide his drug abuse from Khloe Kardashian and it ultimately ended his marriage. Odom admitted that he did not treat the socialite appropriately as she had to go through a lot of “sh*t.”
Lamar Odom was addicted to drugs
Former NBA star Lamar Odom recently appeared in the new trailer for TMZ Presents: Lamar Odom: S*x, Drugs & Kardashians and talked about his failed marriage with socialite Khloe Kardashian. The former athlete explained that drugs were his “girlfriend” while he was married to Khloe Kardashian. He told host Harvey Levin, “Drugs, that was my girlfriend. I had a wife … and cocaine.”
The former athlete explained that his drug abuse got so serious that he couldn’t hide it from the socialite, and it was the reason why his marriage came to an end in 2016.
The former athlete says he put Khloe Kardashian through some “sh*t“
The former NBA star admitted that he did not treat Khloe Kardashian in an appropriate way. The Good American co-founder suffered a lot because of his addiction. He said,
“I mean, behind the scenes I put her through some sh*t. The things that y’all think y’all know is crazy. But the stories that y’all don’t know is really crazy.”
Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian got married in September 2009, however, their relationship hit a rough patch in 2013 when Odom got hospitalized. They finally got divorced in December 2016. The former basketball player was accused of cheating on her several times throughout their marriage.
Lamar Odom wants to apologize to Khloe Kardashian
Odom appeared on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year and said that he would like to meet Khloe Kardashian in order to apologize to her. He said,
“I would just probably want to take her to dinner. It will be a blessing just to be in her presence. Just to tell her I’m sorry and what a fool I was. She has the right to never, ever want to see me again for the things I put her through, but time moves on and people change.”
