“I really thought I was broken”: Sofia Vergara Reportedly Troubled by Joe Manganiello’s Sobriety After DC Actor Left Drinking to Build His Career

Manganiello 46, is best known for his role in Magic Mike is an American actor whose film career began when he played Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man.
“There was a point where I really thought I was broken beyond the point of being able to be fixed,” Manganiello said in an interview for the June cover of Men’s Health. He was 25 and dealt with a serious alcohol abuse problem. “Drinking was a way for me not to have to deal with me,” he says. “And I think that acting was a way for me to not have to be me either. So I could go onstage and not be me, come offstage and go to the bar and not be me. Rinse and repeat.” Manganiello is now 21 years sober. When he quit drinking for good, during his self-discovery phase, he also began practicing transcendental meditation, something he still does today.“I do it as soon as I wake up. Twenty minutes,” he says. “Yeah, Sofia’s asleep, and I just sit up and do it. There’s a reason why meditation is 4,000 years old.” the actor added
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello got married in Palm Beach, Florida in November 2015 and since then they tried their best to enjoy and stay with each other. Vergara is older than Manganiello, although not by much. the actress was born in 1972, while her ex-to-be husband was born in 1976.

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are separating after seven years of their marriage as the couple faced issues continuing their married life .“He was warned about this when he started dating her and again before marrying her.” The actors told Page Six in a statement: “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for the respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
Their separation rumor first surfaced when Sofia Vergara posted pictures from her 51st birthday celebrations in Italy this month with all her close friends and Joe Manganiello was missing in action. The Magic Mike star’s birthday post for Sofia also prompted separation rumors. Joe posted a throwback picture of the Modern Family star on his Instagram profile and he wrote “Happy Birthday Sofia” in the caption.
