Chris Pratt Takes a Subtle Dig at Hugh Jackman While Posing with Ryan Reynolds
Chris Pratt rose to recognition with his role as Andy Dwyer on the NBC comedy series Parks & Recreation. Although initially meant to be a temporary character in the show, he was promoted to a series regular due to his amazing performance.
2014 turned out to be the turning point in his career as he landed not one, but two major studio films. The first was his role as the protagonist in The Lego Movie, which grossed $468 million (via Box Office Mojo). The other major role was Star-Lord/Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy, which globally earned $773 million (via Box Office Mojo).
This role helped his career reach great heights and landed him among the A-listers. Being an integral part of the MCU family, he is often seen cheerleading his peers. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who have recently joined the MCU family with Deadpool & Wolverine, also got a shoutout from Pratt in a new X post.
In the post, Pratt mentioned ironically that his son’s favorite actor is Reynolds. He also took a swing at Jackman saying that he expected the Les Miserables star to be taller.
In actuality, Jackman’s face has been edited into his kid’s picture to keep the identity safe from the media, and Pratt took the advantage to make a joke. The Jurassic World alum also persuaded fans to grab their tickets for Deadpool & Wolverine and said that he will be watching the film with his family on Saturday.
Wolverine’s height is something that has often been a topic of debate among Marvel fans since in the comics, his height is 5’3″ and Jackman is 6’2″ tall. In Deadpool & Wolverine, the titular characters encounter many versions of the clawed mutant during their multiversal adventure and one of them is only 5’3″ tall. This is a clever nod to the long-running debate about the character’s height.
