“I want her to have a childhood”: Extraction 2 Star Chris Hemsworth Doesn’t Want Daughter India to Follow His Footsteps Despite Her MCU Debut

Whenever the actor is not busy with filming for a movie, he loves spending quality time with his kids. His daughter India Rose was a part of his movie Thor: Love And Thunder released in 2022.
Chris Hemsworth Never Wants His Kids To Follow His Footsteps
Chris Hemsworth is already an established actor in the world of movies. He is a proud father of three little kids. He is a total adventure-loving dad and makes sure his kids enjoy all the adventure sports. His social media accounts are loaded with videos of his children enjoying surfing on a beach or climbing trees along with their daredevil dad. His daughter India Rose has acting genes in her as the little girl debuted in Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder.
The 11-year-old had stolen the show as the daughter of Gorr in the 2022 Marvel hit. Her dad, Chris Hemsworth is not keen on making her an actor. During an interview with the media outlet Entertainment Tonight the Men In Black star revealed he would never want his daughter to choose a Hollywood career. He said-
“That was originally supposed to be just a super-quick little moment in the film, and then the character expanded due to the story changing. I said, ‘Oh, do you want to do some dialog in the film? And she’s like, ‘Yeah, cool!’
He further the Avengers star explained-
While India Rose “was a pro and loved it. But I want her to have a childhood, and I think so does she. I said, ‘There’s plenty of time, sweetie. Go to school, horse ride, have fun, and be a kid. Because once the train moves, it’s pretty hard to get off, and you miss a lot of things.”
The Australian actor mentioned during an interview with Vanity Fair that he has struggled a lot with the demands of his busy acting career, which has ended up obstructing his family time with his kids and wife Elsa Pataky. He said-
“And then you start talking about kids and family and going, ‘Oh my God, they’re getting older. They’re growing up and I keep slapping another movie on top of another movie. Before you know it, they’re 18 and they’ve moved out of the house, and I missed the window.”
According to the actor, an acting career demands a lot from a person, starting from totally devoting your entire time to leading a very disciplined life.
Chris Hemsworth Addresses His Retirement Rumors
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already mastered the art of casting the perfect actors for their superhero projects. Be it Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, or Chris Hemsworth as the Thunder God Thor. Rumors of the 39-year-old actor taking retirement from the MCU are doing the rounds of the entertainment world.
During an interview with the media outlet Entertainment Weekly, the Marvel star was questioned if he would be seen as the Thunder God in the upcoming MCU projects, to which, the actor replied, “Maybe!” He even addressed the rumors related to his exit from the billion-dollar franchise. The actor said-
“I’ve got to be careful how I word that because I have no idea what’s happening in the next phase. There are always conversations, like with Extraction. Before anything is official, people are throwing around ideas. But officially, I don’t know.”
As mentioned by Chris Hemsworth he feels that as an actor it is his duty to entertain his audience. The actor said-
“I don’t want to continue to do it until people are so exhausted that they roll their eyes when they see me come on the screen as that character. If an audience wants to see it, and if there’s something that we believe is exciting and fun, then great.”
