Paris Hilton took Kim Kardashian’s advice on surrogacy
In an interview with Glamour magazine, Paris Hilton opened up about how surrogacy helped her to start a family. The actress married Carter Reum and has since wished to start a family. She went with surrogacy, but before opting for that, Hilton took the advice of her rival.
She contacted Kim Kardashian for advice on in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy. She told the outlet,
“Kim told me about that as well. I’m using the same doctor — Dr. Huang, who’s the best — and he has a concierge team that deals with everything and interviews the people [the surrogate] to make sure that they’re healthy.”
When asked if her age was a factor in choosing surrogacy, she was firm about opting for it at any age. The businesswoman explained her being scared of the medical part of pregnancy.
She said, “I’m just so scared. I think, again, leading back to Provo of even being in a doctor’s office, just all of that. The shots, the IVs that they put in.”
Hilton also shared an incident that traumatized her.
She added, “I want a family so bad, it’s just the physical part of doing it. I’m just so scared … childbirth and death are the two things that scare me more than anything in the world.”

The 42-year star revealed in the interview that her first s*xual encounter happened without her consent when she was a minor. She shared an incident from Provo Canyon School in Utah.
Her revelation was shocking. Hilton explained,
“I was forced to lie on a padded table, spread my legs & submit to cervical exams. I cried while they held me down & said, ‘No!’ They just said, ‘Shut up. Be quiet. Stop struggling or you’ll go to Obs.'”
These experiences led the reality star and her husband made to decide to have their newborn son through surrogacy. The new parents named their son Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum.
