“I was so in love”: Nick Cannon, Father of 12, Tried Bribing Nicole Scherzinger With “Bible Verses” While Wooing Her
No celebrity has as big a family tree as Nick Cannon. The Love Don’t Cost a Thing star has quite the clan, having fathered 12 kids over the years with multiple partners. And there is the odd rumor that the 13th is on the way (more on that later). No wonder he must have had numerous romantic relationships in his career as well. That is just the cost of building the ultimate family. But there is one partner who was different from the rest – the only woman he chased in his life.
Nick Cannon on the only woman he ever chased
On an episode of The Jason Lee Show, Nick Cannon opened up about how his life was, what the future held for him, and the mysteries of his past (even denying that a 13th child was on the way). But the most important revelation he made in the interview was about his dating life.
The Gigolo singer revealed who was the woman that fascinated him the most, the only woman he “chased” in his life – Nicole Scherzinger. It was his Masked Singer co-star whom he coveted, and the one who also happened to elude him.
Nick Cannon confirms that he dated Nicole Scherzinger
Nicole Scherzinger has never commented about being involved with Cannon. But the 42-year-old rapper has often spoken about the two. All the way back in 2014, he told Power 106’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood YouTube channel that the Your Love singer was one of the many famous people he had slept with.
It had been 9 years after that interview that the Wild ‘n Out host would make a mention of the relationship again. While playing a game of “Smash or Pass” on The Jason Lee Show, Scherzinger’s photo came up. Cannon said, “Everybody knows that’s my ex. I wouldn’t do it now.”
That photograph made him take a trip down memory lane.
It was the Bible that got the job done!
Delving deeper into how he felt about The X Factor star, he said,
“I was so in love with Nicole. That’s probably the only woman I’ve ever chased. I chased her.”
But without luck. He continued,
“She was like, ‘I’m not messing with you. You toxic.’ I chased her for years.”
It was only after The Invitation rapper gave her a special gift that he got in (quite literally). It was a custom bible. He said,
“I gave her Bible verses. I gave her a custom Bible because she’s very spiritual and super into Christianity. The Bible is what got me in.”
The two now work together in Masked Singer, where Nicole Scherzinger is on the judging panel, while Cannon is the host.
