One Piece: Every Logia Fruit in The Series, Ranked

Logia is one of the three Devil Fruit types in One Piece, and it’s easily the strongest and rarest of the bunch. A Logia fruit lets its user create and control an element according to their fruit. Furthermore, they can also turn their entire body into that element, which is a big deal.

Once a Logia user transforms, regular attacks like punches, bullets, or blades just pass through them, and any damage their elemental body takes can usually be reformed instantly. The only real way to hurt them is Busoshoku Haki or an element that naturally beats theirs. Here’s every Logia fruit, ranked from weakest to strongest.

13. Yuki Yuki no Mi (Snow) – Monet

Monet’s snow fruit lets her cover people in snow to give them hypothermia, and she can turn parts of her body invisible-ish by blending into a snowy environment. Monet can also manipulate the density of the snow, and she has used it to make barriers that are really hard to get through.

However, her potential gets capped hard by one major flaw: when she got overwhelmed by fear after Zoro bisected her. She couldn’t move for a while because she realized that she would have been dead if Zoro used Haki, which he didn’t. Due to the user’s lack of feats, this fruit ranks at the bottom of the ranking.

12. Gasu Gasu no Mi (Gas) – Caesar Clown

Caesar’s gas powers sound terrifying at first, but there is a reason that he ranks this low in the ranking. He can create poisonous and explosive gases, and he can straight up remove oxygen from the air around him, which is a death sentence in an enclosed space. He can even use his abilities to be sneaky, as he was seen hiding inside some flasks.

However, there is a range cap when it comes to controlling the gases, which means he is still vulnerable to long-range attacks. Furthermore, he requires the use of external tools to create explosions, and cannot just do them randomly.

11. Numa Numa no Mi (Swamp) – Caribou

This is probably one of the worst fruits to have if you want actual combat. It’s useful to create near-infinite storage in the mud, as Caribou carries months of rations in his body, but in actual combat, it can do no more than hold the opponent down. And that is simply not enough for many characters in One Piece.

Another reason this fruit ranks this low is that Franky was easily able to capture Caribou himself because of one loophole. If Caribou is in a space where his body cannot fit, he cannot transform back. Combine that with a lack of combat ability, and he gets put at such a low rank.

10. Susu Susu no Mi (Soot) – Karasu

Susu Susu no Mi is one of the simplest and perfect examples of Logia fruits if you ever have to explain that to someone. Karasu can turn his body into soot, which is a fine black powder composed mainly of carbon, resulting from the incomplete combustion of organic matter. He can also manipulate the density to create objects, such as crows.

However, the reason this fruit ranks this low is that it doesn’t provide any special advantage other than the standard perks that come with a Logia fruit. But it ranks above a few that have some special disadvantages of their own. Furthermore, we haven’t seen much of Karasu in anime and manga either.

9. Mori Mori no Mi (Forest/Flora) – Aramaki

This is the only Logia fruit whose element comes as a form of Organic Matter, which is the entire Flora itself. It’s as if the user gets control over nature itself, as he can make even the plants move around freely. Roots and plants can also be used to target many enemies at once. In fact, Aramaki can suck out the moisture as well, as the plants need that water.

The user can also turn into an insanely huge golem that can level the ground with sheer weight. However, the reason this fruit ranks so low is that it cannot make the user intangible, meaning the user still has to dodge even simple attacks.

8. Moku Moku no Mi (Smoke) – Smoker

Smoker’s smoke fruit lets him cover huge areas, choke opponents, and power his Billower Bike for quick transport. Using this power, Smoker can also fly at high speed. Smoker once fought Ace’s fire to a complete stalemate, and fire beating smoke or smoke beating fire didn’t happen either way; they just canceled out.

However, smoke is not something that can kill an opponent directly, so the user has to be creative with it, just like Smoker is. The only reason this fruit doesn’t rank higher is that the ones we will see now simply have more feats or something so special about them that cannot be countered easily.

7. Suna Suna no Mi (Sand) – Crocodile

Crocodile’s sand can dehydrate any non-metallic thing it touches, and he’s used the Suna Suna no Mi to create massive sandstorms across the entire desert country of Alabasta. He was strong enough to be a Warlord and to serve as the final boss of a whole arc, controlling an underground revolution, which alone bumps this fruit to the mid-tier.

He was also the first ever proper challenge that Luffy faced, and honestly belongs in the conversation of anime villains who aura farmed harder than the protagonists. However, his one big weakness is water, since getting wet turns his sand solid and cancels his intangibility, and blood does the same thing. That specific, easily exploitable counter is why he still sits below the top half of this list, even with his massive scale of destruction.

6. Hie Hie no Mi (Ice) – Kuzan

Kuzan’s Devil Fruit doesn’t give him full intangibility since ice is solid, but it gives him something almost as good: a body that can reform after nearly any physical attack, making him basically unkillable through normal means. He can freeze people solid instantly and even freeze the ocean itself to walk across it. He was also able to freeze Luffy like it was nothing.

His one drawback is that solid elements reform slower than gas or light when badly damaged. Still, as a former Admiral, his raw power and battle record put him clearly above the mid-tier fruits.

5. Mera Mera no Mi (Fire) – Ace/Sabo

Fire is one of the most iconic Logia elements in the series. Ace used it to power his Striker raft and to fight at a Warlord level before Marineford, and later Sabo inherited the fruit and became strong enough to threaten a Yonko-level fight. Ace was able to create huge walls of fire, not to mention fire can hurt pretty much everything that is living.

This Logia Fruit ranks just below the very top mainly because it has a clear natural counter, magma, which is hotter and effectively beats fire outright, as shown directly in the story.

4. Pika Pika no Mi (Light) – Borsalino

This is where the fruits start feeling almost godlike. Kizaru’s Pika Pika no Mi practically turns him into a conscious moving laser beam. This also makes him probably the fastest character in the entire anime because light is simply that fast. This also means that he cannot be dodged by normal means.

As an Admiral, he’s one of the strongest fighters in the entire Marine organization. The only reason he’s not higher is that his power is mostly about speed and piercing damage, while the fruits above him bring wider utility and larger-scale destruction on top of raw speed.

3. Goro Goro no Mi (Lightning) – Enel

According to Nico Robin, this fruit makes Enel practically invincible. Enel can transform into lightning, which may not be as fast as Kizaru’s light, but it can seriously hurt others from a long distance. He can also control huge thunder clouds and was able to erase people from existence from really far away, which shows how precise this power is.

His lightning peaks at 200 million volts. He used this power to completely obliterate Angel Island and was fully prepared to destroy all of Skypiea. The only reason he’s not first is that he was still beaten by Luffy, whose rubber body doesn’t conduct electricity, giving him a clean natural counter.

2. Magu Magu no Mi (Magma) – Sakazuki

Sakazuki’s magma is stated to be naturally superior to fire, and he proved it by directly injuring Ace’s flame body in the anime. As an Admiral and later Fleet Admiral, his magma attacks are strong enough to instantly burn opponents and cause large-scale destruction.

One of his feats speaks for itself, and that is that he was able to seriously hurt Whitebeard in combat. With his power running for a ten-day battle, it was strong enough to permanently change the weather of one half of an island into a blazing inferno. The only reason it ranks second is that the one sitting at the top is perhaps not even an element. Let’s take a look.

Darkness doesn’t give Blackbeard intangibility, and it doesn’t let him reform after attacks like every other Logia user. Instead, it absorbs and amplifies any attack that hits it, basically meaning that Blackbeard takes more damage than usual. However, it has a strong gravitational pull that can drag in anything nearby, famously shown when Blackbeard pulled an entire town into a singularity, with his attack called Black Hole. This alone it insane enough, as gravity is a force, not an element.

It also grants infinite internal storage space. On top of all that, touching another Devil Fruit user with darkness completely nullifies their powers, a supernatural ability no other Logia has. Losing intangibility sounds like a downside, but the raw offensive and utility ceiling this fruit offers makes it the most dangerous Logia fruit in the anime.
