The Against The Clock artist shuts down rumors of a romantic relationship with Taylor Swift. The two were frequently photographed together between 2011 and 2012, and Swift listed Agron as one of her inspirations for the song 22.
The media coverage of their friendship and relationship rumors sparked theories that their relationship was more than friendly. However, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the actress clarified that she and the songwriter are just friends.
Agron laughed off the rumors and commented that there had been untrue stories about her dating life.
“That is so interesting. I mean, there have been many stories about my dating life that are so wildly untrue. That’s funny.”
Further, the I Am Number Four star said,
“Me? Oh, if only. That’s more because of a friendship than being the inspiration for the song. But I would not be the person to ask about that. I cannot claim that.”
In addition to addressing the rumors, she opened up about her film Clock and the challenges she faces as a young woman in the industry.
“I think it was a sliding scale of appropriate to terribly inappropriate, especially if you’re playing a character who people find to be attractive. Or you are a young person who people find to fit in a box that they would like to put you in, which is ‘young and sexy. That was the hardest thing for me to reconcile with.”
Agron made it clear that she values her friendship with Swift and that the rumors about their relationship are baseless.
