During the promotion of his upcoming movie The Moonwalkers in London, the actor spoke to the reputed media outlet The Telegraph. He expressed that he could easily wash toilets and serve food to land on the moon. He said-
“I would like to be the guy in charge of serving food and making jokes to and from the moon. If there was room, I would be the guy that cleans up, makes jokes, tells stories, and keeps everybody entertained.”
He further mentioned-
“I’m your man. I would probably sign up right now! That might be a good idea, I’ll do all the work. I’ll clean the toilet. I’ll serve the food. I’ll fold clothes. I’ll stow the gear. That way, the others could be free to do other stuff.”
Tom Hanks’ The Moonwalkers would see the actor getting up close and personal with the astronauts who have been on a mission to our neighbor Moon.

During an interview with The Telegraph Tom Hanks praised the Artemis program. He said-
“Four people on Artemis are going to see the Earth rise over the moon and some of them are going to be a gender other than male. I think that says everything about the progress of humankind right there.”
Tom Hanks even spoke about the James Webb Space Telescope, which he has nicknamed a time machine. He was inspired by the pictures taken by the reputed telescope. Christopher Riley is the face behind Tom Hanks’ upcoming movie The Moonwalkers. The prominent director and writer already holds a record for groundbreaking television shows and movies on space.
