Iain Armitage’s Honest Feelings on Young Sheldon Role After 7 Years is a Stark Contrast From Miley Cyrus’ Raw Thoughts on her Iconic Hannah Montana Gig
Iain Armitage has won the hearts of people from around the world with his most famous character Sheldon Cooper from Young Sheldon. Likewise, American singer and actress, Miley Cyrus, gained an immense amount of appreciation for playing the role of Hannah Montana. However, there’s a big difference when the set experiences of the actors are considered.
Armitage has spent almost seven years working as Sheldon and Cyrus herself spent a lot of time playing Hannah Montana. They both achieved unparalleled fame in the industry, but the road to that might have been rockier for the Flowers singer if what she said about her experience as the fictional character is anything to go by.
Iain Armitage Seems to Have Enjoyed His Run as Young Sheldon Cooper
Iain Armitage played the role of Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon and became a renowned face early on. He finds a lot of joy in talking about his famous character. Not just the people who have seen the series, but also the people who are active on social media have been entertained by Sheldon Cooper.
Recently, he opened up about how he has really enjoyed being on the set of Young Sheldon and portraying the character assigned to him. In an interview on CBS Mornings, he said:
Yeah, I mean I am not necessarily the kind of person to be like I don’t want to be associated with this character anymore… I am happy to be Sheldon.

Miley Cyrus Might Not Have Had the Best Experience Playing Hannah Montana
Iain Armitage seems to have had the time of his life playing a younger version of Sheldon Cooper. On the other hand, years ago, celebrated American singer and actress Miley Cyrus revealed something that shocked everyone. Although fans have always appreciated her role as Hannah Montana, Cyrus herself does not consider the Disney character very close to her heart.
Cyrus revealed that playing Hannah Montana negatively affected her mental health. She told Marie Claire:
I was made to look like someone that I wasn’t, which probably caused some body dysmorphia because I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn’t on that show, it was like, ‘Who the f— am I?’
Cyrus did not seem happy with how she had to pretend like someone else. Apart from the issues she faced regarding her physical appearance, she also had emotional breakdowns while on the set.
She found it difficult to attach herself to a character that gave her many embarrassing moments and anxiety attacks. With what the hitmaker said, it’s clear that playing a famous character doesn’t always guarantee a sense of pride in the actor’s psyche. However, this does not mean that every actor has had the same type of experience when they start working in the industry as young people.
Young Sheldon is available for streaming on Max and Netflix. Hannah Montana is available for streaming on Disney+.
