Brooke Shields is a talented American model and actress. She recently made headlines for her upcoming bombshell documentary Pretty Baby, in which she reveals that as a minor in Hollywood, she was forced into overly sexual roles. The actress also spoke about her ridiculous public fight with Tom Cruise over postpartum depression. Brook Shields’ two-part documentary explores Shields’ appalling sexualization beginning when she was just 9 years old, and the model further discusses her highs and lows of her acting career. Following its world premiere at Sundance, the film received a standing ovation. At the time the alleged incident, Shields released her new book, Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression and Tom Cruise was doing press interviews for his movie War of the Worlds. The Top Gun: Maverick star discussed his issues with psychiatric drugs with Matt Lauer on The Today Show.

The actor told the host,

“I’ve never agreed with psychiatry, ever. Before I was a Scientologist, I never agreed with psychiatry and then when I started studying the history of psychiatry, I started realizing more and more why I didn’t agree with psychiatry.”

In the film, The Blue Lagoon movie actress reflected on the incident as “ridiculous.” During one segment of her documentary, the camera zooms in on the headline, “What Tom Cruise Doesn’t Know About Estrogen,” from a New York Times op-ed she wrote in response to Cruise remarks. The actor Judd Nelson quotes his friend Shields at the time: “Tom Cruise should stick to fighting aliens.”

In 2006, Brooke Shields stated during an appearance on Jay Leno’s show that Tom Cruise had apologized to her for his public comments about her.

A Castle For Christmas movie actress was recently in Los Angeles and spoke to People magazine on the red carpet about her upcoming documentary, Pretty Baby. The actress said,

“Well, I think times have changed a great deal, but I think it’s important that we have that dialogue. I have young girls, and we didn’t have social media and TikTok, and that’s a whole other animal. And it’s been happening since the dawn of time, and it’s more dangerous than ever.”

She conitnued,

“So these kinds of conversations are crucial to have for our young women because we need to be honest about what we’re facing and how to find our own agency. And we need these young women to find their own agency as early as possible.”

Brooke Shields recently got into trouble with her daughters Rowan Francis and Grier Hammond, whom she shares with husband Chris Henchy.

She shared,

“You know I thought I did teach them, but there’s a lot in the documentary they did not know about with which I got in trouble with them for because they were mad that I didn’t inform them about everything.”
