Adele thought a concertgoer yelled something against LGBTQ+ community, prompting her to defend them. It turns out the person was actually complaining about work. Now, the question is whether her reaction to the comment was justified or blown out of proportion.

At Adele‘s concert, there was a tense moment when she appeared to scold a fan for yelling a homophobic slur. Video circulated on Instagram showed the singer speaking out strongly after someone in the crowd seemingly shouted “Pride s*cks!” The 35-year-old, a strong supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, stopped the show and told the fan “If you got nothing nice to say shut up,” calling them “stupid.”

Then, a new video emerged that changed the story about the star’s interaction with the crowd during her concert. In earlier reports, it was unclear what someone had shouted out from the audience. However, this new video, although blurry and with muffled sound, seems to show someone yelling “Work s*cks!” This makes more sense because the Easy on Me singer was discussing her own unusual work schedule at the time.

Adele’s comment during the concert divided her fans. Some fans were happy to hear her explanation, while others worried she might have yelled at someone who wasn’t trying to be mean. Check out some fan reactions:

This situation shows how hard it can be to understand what people say at loud concerts. However, her Las Vegas residency hasn’t been all bumps in the road. There have been some truly touching moments too. She gave a concert moment a young fan will never forget!

A video that circulated online showed Adele stopping mid-song during her Las Vegas show while performing When We Were Young to serenade a young boy in the audience.

The singer stopped right in front of the boy, who was wearing a cool striped shirt and cowboy hat, and sang directly to him. The boy was speechless and his mouth wide open in awe. The Tottenham native even gave him a friendly wave and a gentle touch on the cheek.

After belting out a powerful note, she smiled at the boy and patted his shoulder before moving on. The boy, still in shock from the amazing moment, turned around and gave his chaperone a giant hug!
