“If you have nothing nice to say, shut up”: Adele Lashes Out at Concert-goer for Making Disparaging Comments about Pride Month
The English singer and songwriter didn’t hold back during her Las Vegas residency when an audience member yelled at her with anti-pride comments. Adele is known for her fiercely active support of the LGBTQ+ community.
While on stage, she silenced the heckler, reminding everyone that hate speech has no bearing at her concerts. This wasn’t the first time Adele behaved this way, though. Being a woman of sass and sincerity, she had a rather strong take on the very incident.
Adele’s Vegas Showdown: The Diva Defends Pride and Calls Out Hecklers
When Adele was performing at her show in Las Vegas, one of the audience members yelled, “Pride s**cks!” The 36-year-old singer, who has a sizable LGBTQ+ fan following, silenced the concertgoer, defending pride. She reprimanded:
Are you f***ing stupid? Don’t be so f***ing ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, all right?
Following that, the 36-year-old took on the practice of fans throwing objects at performers. She replied that people these days have forgotten how to be nice. The fact that they’re throwing objects on stage goes to show there’s no etiquette, no mannerisms.
Adele goes off on audience member who yelled “Pride sucks” at her concert tonight:

The gifted Grammy award winner was prompted by recent events in which Bebe Rexha, Ava Max, Kelsea Ballerini, and others performing on stage were targeted by audience members using objects to assault them. Adele had a distasteful reaction and said afterward,
I f***ing dare you — I dare you throw something at me. I’ll f***ing kill you.
Adele was keen to point that out as she pulled out a t-shirt cannon and threw merchandise to the crowd. She giggled asking the concertgoers to stop throwing stuff at the artists. These comments underscored an emerging trend of this social issue of energetic conduct from the audience at concerts.
Adele’s No-Nonsense Note: Stop Throwing Things and Spread Love
Adele snaps at fans who are “throwing” things at performers once more. The music diva has always protested this concertgoer behavior. She gave a speech expressing that all she cares about is for everyone to be safe. Speaking on the subject, Adele encouraged the audience to reach out to their loved ones if they don’t feel safe.
The pride star declared on stage following the horrifying killing of LGBT+ individuals at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, in 2016. She was really impacted by the LGBTQ community, as they’ve been her soul mates ever since she was a little child. Her speech began stating:
I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando and at Pulse nightclub last night … The LGBTQ community, they’re like my soul mates since I was really young, so I’m very moved by it.
Additionally, the Grammy winner said that her song I Set Fire To The Rain was a “gay anthem” in the past. What’s more, Adele officiated the nuptials of her gay friend Alan Carr, who was previously married to Paul Drayton. However, after being together for 13 years, the gay couple drifted apart in 2022.
