“I’m not going to be the one schmuck not enjoying my life”: Bill Maher Confesses He Flies Private After Preaching About Climate Change for Years, Wants Every Celeb to Give Up Their Jets
Bill Maher best known for his political commentary is also a comedian, writer, producer, and talk show host. The Real Talk host had a real talk with his audience recently where he called out the pseudo-environmentalists, addressing the need to combat climate crisis. He proudly confessed to his crime and threw an open challenge at the audience saying they’d do it too if they were in his shoes.
He brought up many riveting points and attacked the main bee hive. Maher claimed attacking celebrities for using private jets and using paper straws isn’t going to be sufficient to control climate change.
Bill Maher admits to his sin
It is now no secret that Bill Maher flies a private jet and so does everyone that ever could.
“My name is Bill, and I fly private,–And so does every other person who calls themselves an ‘environmentalist’ who can!”
He boldly confessed to this crime facing the camera. Maher made everyone aware of the sad reality. People in positions of power who often seemed as the biggest advocate of climate was presented as evidence to prove his point. His point being carbon footprint can’t be tamed by individuals using reusable bags or paper straws, and in this case, celebrities using private jets. The problem has escalated beyond the whole recycle everything moment.
It is now high time people drop the act and start questioning the real reasons which are most definitely not celebrities flying in their private jets, according to Bill Maher.
Bill Maher is calling out the celebrities left and right
Bill Maher agrees that humans are the worst and that he isn’t any better.

He continued his rant by then showing a slideshow of pictures showing some of the most famous people of all time and so-called advocates of the environment committing the same crime. According to him it’s not their fault, it’s taking heroin. From names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Bono, Mark Zuckerberg, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z to prominent political leaders. Everybody’s picture was present in the presentation. He then said,
“If you don’t see a celebrity’s picture here, it’s because we weren’t allowed to use it,—But all the environmentalists of Hollywood and Washington do it. Their position on climate change is ‘We must do more to stop pouring carbon into the air, except for me when I wanted to go somewhere and then I take a private jet.’ It turns out there is one thing in this world that is completely impossible to resist. And this is it. It’s like heroin, if you do it once, you’ll never stop.”
But he believes the people should be aware of their sins and then be sinners rather than acting like a priest. Justifying the usage with some lame excuses would not work anymore.
“Everyone else is full of s— and I’m done being full of s—,–I can take being a bad environmentalist because almost all of us are, but I can’t take being a hypocrite. Now I always justified renting a plane because I only used it for work and literally could not get to most of my standup gigs on time any other way. How do you think I did it all those years I said good night here at 8 pm and was onstage in Vegas at 10? But I don’t need to do stand-up, like tomorrow night in Albuquerque. And outside of heads of state, almost everyone else could fly commercial. Why don’t they? Ask anyone who tried to get home for Christmas last year.”
He then continues to call out the hypocrisy using many instances which ultimately proved humans, especially celebrities, to be absolute jerks. Bill Maher does not know what could fix these things but he believes certainly the steps currently in use are of no good.
