“I’m not Matthew”: Bradley Cooper Hates Matthew McConaughey? Marvel Star Praised By A Fan Just Because He Worked With Interstellar Star
Bradley Cooper these days might be considered one of the most recognizable faces in the world, much like his superstar singer character Jackson Maine in A Star is Born. Interestingly, akin to Jackson, who pushes emerging artist Ally to the center stage, Cooper has a number of characters in his acting catalog who despite being in the movie business, seldom divert all the limelight in their direction – something that is very common among A-listers.
The same thing happened in the movie Failure to Launch, and a reaction from a fan after the movie’s release was no different from the reactions of Ally’s fans in A Star is Born as they quickly sideline Jackson.

A Matthew McConaughey Fan Made Bradley Cooper Realize He Might Not Be Very Popular
Bradley Cooper once starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the 2006 comedy Failure to Launch. McConaughey plays the character of a 35-year-old layabout, Tip. In order to get him out of the house, his parents hatch a plan and hire Paula (Sarah Jessica Parker) to do her magic and lever him out of their house. Cooper portrays Demo, who is Tip’s techie friend.
The movie did fine and Cooper moved on to other projects and quickly established himself as one of the most famous actors in the industry. In 2008, he made an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The hilarious TV host congratulated the actor for starring in five movies that year and quizzed how he’s enjoying the fame.
This led to the Hangover star recalling an encounter with a Matthew McConaughey fan that did well to wake him up from the hangover of so-called popularity.
He said, “I did this independent film in Minnesota, and I was at an Applebee’s. This is actually the worst way to get recognised.”
“This woman came up to me and she was so nervous, and she said, ‘O my god. You’re in that movie, Failure to Launch?’ I said, ‘Yeah’. [She said,] ‘With Matthew McConaughey?’ and I said, ‘Yeah.'”
She went on to ask Cooper for an autograph and he obliged. As he handed the autograph to the woman, she reacted: “Oh no, no. Can you write Matthew?”
The He’s Just Not That Into You actor corrected her, but she insisted on the signature of his Failure to Launch co-star. “I know, but you were next to him, that’s okay,” she said. Cooper finally went with her demands and signed as the Interstellar star.
Even nowadays many Marvel fans don’t queue up for his signatures like they would for other superheroes because they simply don’t see his face.
Why Bradley Cooper Isn’t Very Famous Among Marvel Enthusiasts
The 48-year-old has worked in eight Marvel Studios movies and yet isn’t among the most famous Marvel-linked names like Robert Downey Jr. or Scarlett Johansson, largely because it’s only his voice that frequently appears in these movies.
He has voiced Rocket Racoon in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder among others.
The decision to let one of the most charming faces sit behind the camera and voice the gun-obsessed CGI-manufactured Racoon is certainly a bold move from Marvel Studios bosses but so far it has worked brilliantly, albeit at the cost of a few camera flashes in Cooper’s way.
