Ever since the release of One Piece chapter 1079, the fight between Eustass Kid and Shanks has been highly anticipated by the fans of the series for almost a year now. Luckily for fans, the teaser for the One Piece episode 1112 just dropped and fans are beyond excited about the highly anticipated battle between the two redheads finally getting animated by Toei Animation.

However, given how obviously one-sided the fight between the two will turn out to be, fans of the series shared their hilarious reactions to the teaser on X. Here is what One Piece fans filled the comment section with.

One Piece fans pay their respects to Eustass Kid as he awaits a Yonko’s punishment in episode 1112

Eustass Kid is by no means a pushover character with a bounty of three billion berries. However, when going up against the likes of Shanks, the combat prowess of Captain Kid doesn’t even come close to the red-haired Emperor. Though the teaser for episode 1112 of One Piece has fans hyped up, it doesn’t take a genius to see how the fight would end.

The fans on X put down F’s in the comment section for Eustass Kid who actually had the nerve to go up against a force as dominating as Shanks.

Kid has become a character that fans have started to love over the span of the series. However, fans might not see him appear in the series after episode 1112. But that being said, what are Kid’s chances of surviving the unfortunate ambush of the Red-Haired pirates?

Marked for life or marked for death? Will Kid survive his encounter with Shanks?

Kid is one of the strongest pirates in One Piece, especially after the Wano Arc. However, it would be safe to assume that he isn’t among one of the brightest considering he declared war against one of the biggest fish in the Grand Line, Shanks.

Though Kid was the first to initiate the attack against Shanks, the Yonko swiftly countered and hit him back with a devastating attack called the Divine Departure which sent Eustass Kid flying. The attack not only stopped Kid but also his right-hand man, Killer, who was able to stand their ground against the likes of Big Mom.

Shanks being Roger’s apprentice, was probably one of the reasons why he inherited Roger’s move that blew Kid and Killer away. This also makes us wonder if the Yonko can use other moves in Gol D. Roger’s arsenal. This scene was reminiscent to Roger blowing away Oden in their fight. However, unlike Oden, who jumped back into the fight straight away, there is a very high possibility of Kid not surviving the attack.

Taking into consideration that Shanks destroyed Kid’s ship and him being a devil fruit user, was a death sentence. Especially given how he was blown away into the sea. But since the corpse of Eustass Kid is yet to be shown, there is always a chance for the beloved character to make his return, just like how X Drake made his return in One Piece Chapter 1117.
