Matthew Perry Shared How He Was Grateful to Jennifer Aniston on Her Confrontation

The 53-year-old actor, Matthew Perry, is super popular for his role as Chandler Bing in the American sitcom series, FRIENDS. In a conversation with ABC News journalist Diane Sawyer in a trailer, he candidly shared about his addiction.
He also spoke about how his former co-stars, especially, Jennifer Aniston, who gained international fame for her role as Rachel Green in the sitcom confronted him regarding his addiction.
The actor made many entertained with his acting however very few knew about his addiction problem. For the unversed, he was suffering from heavy substance abuse and alcohol addiction. He recalled that Aniston stated, “We know you’re drinking.”
The actor added, “Imagine how scary a moment that was.”
He then continued, “She was the one who reached out the most, you know. I’m really grateful to her for that.”
Perry has been forthcoming about his struggles with addiction and admitted taking “55 Vicodin a day” in addition to Methadone, Xanax, and a full 750ml bottle of vodka a day.
Jennifer Aniston Having A Heart of Gold!
It has long been proven that Aniston has a heart of gold. Not only her former co-star, but she has also offered help to Brad Pitt even though they are no longer together. During their marriage, the couple had some problems which probably started when Pitt started a relationship with Angelina Jolie during his marriage.
However, she never really talked about her ex-husband’s infidelity and has always supported him. Now, things have changed as Pitt is going through his divorce proceedings with his ex-wife Jolie, over the custody of their minor children.
Through Perry’s confession, this became clear that Aniston has been an active personality in the sitcom who noticed what he was going through during their filming.
His Upcoming Memoir Has Documented His Past Struggles With Addiction
In his upcoming memoir, called Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, he shares coming out with addiction in his gloomy days which opens with the revelation that he almost died a few years ago at age 49.
He once made his weight rise to a shocking 128 pounds. Back in 2018, he shared an incident when his colon burst due to overuse of opioids. That resulted in weeks of struggling for his life, he spent two weeks in a coma and five months in the hospital.
The actor’s new memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir, comes out on November 1.
