“In life you will face a lot of circuses”: Is Tristan Thompson Trolling Maralee Nichols After Being Forced To Shell Out Almost $10K Child Support Every Month?
Tristan Thompson has made quite a reputation for himself, and not in a good light. He has infamously been termed a serial cheater after being repeatedly unfaithful to Khloe Kardashian, who he shares two kids with. And now it seems like he is lamenting the price that he owes.
The NBA player took to Instagram to share a story with a cryptic message about paying one’s dues. And fans can’t help but wonder if it is about his latest child support settlement with Maralee Nichols, the one he cheated on Khloe K with.
Tristan Thompson shares cryptic message via Instagram
On Tuesday, Tristan Thompson took to Instagram to share a book excerpt in his story. The highlighted part in the book read,
“In life you will face a lot of Circuses. You will pay for your failures. But, if you persevere, if you let those failures teach you and strengthen you, then you will be prepared to handle life’s toughest moments.”
This could have passed as just a simple post that the 31-year-old liked enough to share with his followers. But only recently, it was reported that Thompson was mandated by the court to pay close to $10,000 per month to Maralee Nichols in child support, in addition to part of her legal fees.
The infamous Tristan Thompson cheating scandal
Nichols was involved in the infamous cheating scandal with the former Chicago Bulls player. She sued Thompson for getting her pregnant in March 2021 while also being in a relationship with Khloe Kardashian. Thompson further went on to conceive a child with Kardashian in November via a surrogate, while Nichols was about to give birth to their child in December 2021.
In January 2022, the former Cleveland Cavalier player confessed his mistake on Instagram after having taken a DNA test, thus confirming that he had in fact fathered Theo, Nichols’ son.
His son with Khloe K was born in August this year and the mother has kept his name and face a secret so far. Although the child’s birth was the center stage attraction of Hulu’s The Kardashians’ second season premiere.
As of now, Thompson has a son Prince, 6, with Jordan Craig, a daughter True, 4, and a newborn son with Khloe, and baby Theo, with Nichols.
Khloe Kardashian is being the bigger person
The Strong Looks Better Naked writer shared her experience of the traumatic episode of her life during a confessional on The Kardashians. She said,
“Ever since December, it’s been this dark cloud looming over me. Every single day, I’ve been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy. It’s almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me. Now I finally get to start the healing process. Now I get to start enjoying my life with two kids in it and figuring this out.”
