The singer shared a post from the United Arab Emirates on her Instagram on Christmas eve with a lovely and inspiring caption, “In the desert, this Christmas, searching for serenity.”
It was Dubai that she chose as her destination, where she arrived last Wednesday and could stay until December 30, the date agreed on to deliver the children to their father on New Year’s Eve.
As a way of thanking the support she received in recent months, Shakira posted an image on her Instagram handle of a star on the top of a Christmas tree. The day before Christmas, she wished everyone a happy holiday season and prosperity in 2023. During the past few months, Shakira has faced many hardships, making this her most challenging year to date, but she is trying hard to get over this dark period and have a peaceful time with her kids.
Shakira And Gerard Pique May Face A New Challenge Over Kids’ Custody Agreement
While the ex-couple reached an agreement despite the painful split between them, which was signed before a judge in Barcelona, it stated that before the move, they would spend holidays with their sons on certain days, it appears that between Shakira and Gerard Piqué, a new problem has arisen.
According to recent reports, it was claimed that the ex-couples were at odds over the date their boys, Sasha and Milan, would leave Barcelona and move to Miami with their mother. Reports indicate that the former footballer wants to keep his children with him until the Three Wise Men holiday. The holiday in Spain will fall on the 6th of January, 2023, a day that is not a holiday in the United States.
Therefore, the children will not be able to join school before 5th January if they do not leave Barcelona by that time. The ex-couple is reportedly figuring out what to do about the situation, as they are in different countries, which is another obstacle to resolving this issue.
