Invincible Season 2 Finally Reveals Release Date as Violent Superhero Series Teases Multiverse Story
The much-awaited animated series Invincible is all set to arrive, fans can now mark their calendars as the highly anticipated Season 2 is set to release as its released dates have been announced. In accordance with the overwhelming success of the first season, Amazon Prime Video has announced the release date of the next season, much to the delight of viewers worldwide.
Invincible Season 2 release date revealed.
Invincible the hit superhero animated series based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, was very quick in attracting a massive fan base. Apart from the name the outstanding narrative, complex characters, and jaw-dropping twists played a very crucial role in making the series a massive success.
The first season of the show streamed on Amazon Prime Video on March 25, 2021. Invincible was loved by the viewers earning an impressive 98% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. It was also nominated for Best Animated Series or Animated Television Movie at the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards.
Ever since the studio announced that there will be a second season of this animated series, fans have been eager to know its release dates. Putting all the fans at ease Amazon Prime Video announced at the San Diego Comic-Con that Invincible Season 2 with eight episodes will begin on November 3.
They also stated that the first 4 episodes of the series will be released on a weekly basis in the month of November, whereas the other 4 episodes will be released sometime in early 2024.
Angstrom Levy is the biggest enemy of all time in Invincible Season 2
The upcoming season of Invincible is said to have one of the biggest enemy all time, Angstrom Levy. The writer and creator of the Invincible series, Robert Kirkman reportedly agreed on this news. Talking with the Inverse, Kirkman confirmed that Angstrom Levy will be seen as the new and strongest villain in Invincible Season 2.
“Some large or small aspect of Season 2 focuses on the Angstrom Levy character,” Kirkman said. “He’ll be a new villain that comes into the series. And if you’ve read the comics, you’re aware of who he is and what his deal is. He’s a villain that has access to multiple dimensions, and so it’s another one of those dang multiverse things.”
As per the Invincible comic book, Angstrom Levy is a character who is involved in a horrible accident that disfigures him. Levy then blames Invincible for the accident and his disfigurement and vows to get revenge on him using his multiversal powers.
Although as per Kirkman the story of Levy in the show will be different from that of the comic. Talking about this Kirkman said, “We do things in a different way [than the comics], so there’s a little bit of a unique flavor to what we’re doing.”
Fans across the globe have been very excited to see Angstrom Levy in the upcoming season of Invincible as they know he is going to be a great villain. With the release of the show on the 3rd of November, it will be fun to see if the fans will enjoy this new unique twist and flavor given to the show.
