Brie Larson might have a new man in her life and her fans are rooting for her. The Room actress is on an Odyssey toward a new romantic landscape after her split with Elijah Allan-Blitz. According to sources, artist Benjamin Styer is the new beau of Larson and this swoon-worthy couple is already engaging in public displays of affection at events.
A New Romance Brewing Between Brie Larson And Benjamin Styer?
The Marvels actress was seen with Benjamin Styer in Kate Berlant’s one-woman show Kate at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California. A source exclusively told People that they were hanging out in a group and that their relationship, although “newish,” was very “affectionate and cute.” Larson reportedly was in a jolly mood and “looked happy” throughout the evening. The two lovebirds were also spotted getting into the same SUV following the show, where Larson was in the driver’s seat and Styer took the passenger one.
The actress was previously engaged to actor/musician Alex Greenwald. The two of them ended their relationship after three years of being engaged, following several years of being together. A source told People at the time that
“They have taken a step back from their engagement for the time being but they remain close.”
Larson was then linked to virtual-reality director Elijah Allan-Blitz. They sparked wildfire-like rumors of dating after being photographed kissing in July 2019. Brie Larson recently confirmed her breakup from Allan-Blitz last year to Harper’s Bazaar, as she said,
“I don’t have a next job. I don’t have a home. I don’t have a partner. I don’t have a plan. I’m just completely open.”
Although she did not ponder too much on the topic, she did open up about her fears of being single and entering her 30s.
“I had all the same normal fears as everybody else about being single and being 30. What do I want? How does a family and a future fit in with my weird life?”

As per his website, Benjamin Styer is a self-taught artist who has managed to garner over 56.4k followers on Instagram. He has also collaborated with the esteemed puzzle brand Kinstler to metamorphose his artwork into puzzles. In a 2023 interview with Kinstler, Styer shared some tidbits about his personal life and what got him into art.
“I have a pretty long relationship with painting. As a child I was drawn to the art in children’s books. Monet was a person I looked up to at age five. I soon aspired to paint hyper-real and couldn’t. In high school I had a burst of painting for three years after discovering Basquiat.”
He continued.
“I’d also been making music for some time, and through the years switched between songwriting and painting. When I was 27, I decided to completely devote my time to painting after starting a particular sketchbook. All my life I’ve been looking at art history, so I’d been having a long conversation with it in my head the whole time.”
In the same interview, he also mentioned how he was passionate about music and how he incorporated that into his art. He said he has visual impulses toward music that are reflected in his paintings.
Brie Larson’s next project, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, is set to release on May 1, 2026 so far.
