“It felt like she was lying”: 50 Cent Regrets Not Trusting Megan Thee Stallion
In December 2022, Tory Lanez was found guilty of assaulting Megan Thee Stallion the hip-hop singer, with a firearm. The hip-hop sweetheart Stallion and the Canadian rapper Lanez were in a short-term but highly gossipy relationship that ended in a quite disgraceful way. Tory Lanez was accused of physically abusing Megan by shooting her both feet. It was later found out that the charges of assault stemmed from a dispute between the couple after Lanez left Kylie Jenner’s pool party organized in July 2020 at Hollywood Hills.
The feud between the couple took a major turn when Lanez was held accountable for shooting Stallion. Their matter became a subject of speculation and the trial was delayed until December 2022 when Lanez was proven guilty. Lanez is currently found guilty of three felonies and faces 22 years of imprisonment along with an awaited deportation to Canada. During this tense trial, there were several celebrities who sided with Megan Thee Stallion and others who sided with Tory Lanez. However, after Lanez was found guilty 50 Cent vouched for Megan and apologized to her.
50 Cent owned up to Megan Thee Stallion for his mistakes
After Tory Lanez was found guilty in December 2022 of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in her feet for a dispute about their love life and respective career in 2020, celebrities like 50 Cent and others sided with Lanez. Stallion was left with fewer supportive people on her side since most of them thought she was lying.
However, in a recent interview with radio host Big Boy in January 2023, 50 Cent expressed his feelings and openly apologized to Megan through Billboard. The rapper made a public attempt and apologized for not trusting the hip-hop singer during her worst days.
“I want to apologize to Megan Thee Stallion” 50 Cent started expressing “When she (Megan) said to Gayle (King)…when Gayle asked if she was intimate with Tory Lanez and she said ‘what? no.’ I was like ‘oh no, she lying’,” he added. “From that, it felt like she was lying, to me. So little things would pop up on the internet and I wouldn’t be supportive of it” 50 Cent confessed.
50 Cent regrets not trusting and supporting Megan Thee Stallion
50 Cent’s apology came onboard after he felt guilty about sharing a meme on Instagram comparing Megan to Jussie Smollett, the Empire actor who lied about her physical abuse. However, the rapper revealed he felt guilty for accusing Stallion of lying, especially after what she went through.
50 Cent added to his apology message that he realized Megan wasn’t lying when he heard Lanez’s jailhouse phone conversation with Kelsey Harris, via HollywoodLife, where he confessed his mistake of shooting Megan. “That made me feel like, ‘Oh sh*t, now I know what happened.’ I’m sure that’s what probably swayed people in the court too” 50 Cent confessed.
50 Cent took the high road of apologizing, despite all the social media posts that he posted on his Instagram targetting Stallion on the contrary. After having apologized on the radio show, 50 Cent took to Twitter for apologizing even more for the memes he posted not knowing the true story.
