Popularly known as the founding member of the metalcore band As I Lay Dying, Tim Lambesis has also formed a death metal band called Pyrithion. The musician who started his music journey when he was still in high school had gone on to form a band Against the Mark with Matt Carlson, who played drums. They changed the name of the band to Life Once Lost and finally As I Lay Dying in 2000. The band included Jordan Mancino and Evan White.

Over the years, the band has gone through many lineup changes, leaving Tim Lambesis and Phil Sgrosso as the only members in the band right now. Lambesis was convicted and sentenced in 2014 for soliciting the murder of his ex-wife. The vocalist talks about how he thinks it was a bad idea.

Tim Lambessi talks about his realization of handling the divorce better with Meggan Murphy

As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis was arrested in 2013 after trying to hire an undercover police officer to murder his ex-wife, Meggan Murphy. The artist pleaded guilty to the charges in 2014 and was sentenced to serve in prison for six years. Lambesis was released on parole in 2016.

According to reports by The Guardian, Murphy had filed for divorce from Lambesis in 2012, claiming that the artist was obsessed with bodybuilding. She noted that he did not pay attention to the kids and had spent a huge amount of money on tattoos. Murphy also accused Lambesis of cheating on her during their marriage, and it was alleged that he would not have access to their children and Murphy would take away a great chunk of money from him. Thus he decided he wanted her gone.

During his initial arrest, Tim Lambesis’ lawyer had claimed that the artist was on steroids and his thought processes were affected devastatingly. He later pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to six years in prison. With his appearance on the Garza Podcast, the musician explained the entire situation that led to his arrest and realized that he’s got it bad. He said,

My thinking was so isolated in my own mind and disconnected from my support system that I didn’t really fathom or realize how much I had lost myself and the core of who I was.

He added that he felt that he was one person for most of his life, and then for a period of time, he felt isolated with a different mindset. Tim Lambesis explained that he finds it hard to describe the entire thing.

I lost myself, I lost my way, and I sat there in a cell being like, ‘How did I become this person?’ It kind of blew my own mind. And as the mental cloud went away and I could see clearly, there were so obviously a thousand better ways that I could have gone through a divorce or a thousand better ways that if I wanted to be close to my family or if I felt that burning of a father who felt.

Lambesis added that he wondered about how he could have handled the situation way better than he actually did. He noted he was shocked, and there is no defense or way he can take back what he did other than being thankful that no true physical harm was done.

Tim Lambesis’ wife, Dany Lambesis, speaks out following an allegation of domestic abuse

Lambesis got married to Dany Ciara in 2022, and recently she decided to share a statement shutting down the rumors of alleged domestic violence. She wrote that she was made aware of the false claims being made that the As I Lay Dying frontman harmed her. She further wrote on her social media,

I want to make it unequivocally clear that these allegations are completely false. My husband has never caused harm to me in this manner, and I am deeply saddened by the unfounded rumors that have emerged during this challenging time for his band. There has never been an incident that warrants such accusations. We have had our relationship issues like many other couples, but nothing to the degree of domestic violence or what is being portrayed online.

Following the departure of As I Lay Dying’s three band members along with the band’s manager, leaving Tim Lambesis and Phil Sgrosso behind. Fans speculate that the unverified claim that a video of a domestic violence incident involving the Lambesis couple exists; the band members do not want to be associated with the frontman.

However, Dany Lambesis’ statement has clarified that he is innocent, as she went on to say that if he were to harm her, she would have exposed him herself. Tim Lambesis has not yet commented on the situation.
