“It wasn’t a good look for me”: Xochitl Gomez Opens Up About Dealing with Deepfakes and AI P*rn
Xochitl Gomez is among the young actors in Hollywood who showcased their talents at a young age and gained a fan following. In a recent podcast, the 17-year-old opened up about her fake AI p*rn videos on the internet and the hardship it brought.
The use of AI has become quite popular in recent times, and with ease, it comes with numerous risks. Especially for public figures and renowned personalities, the use of artificial intelligence can become extremely useful and dreadful at the same time. Xochitl Gomez who portrayed America Chavez in Doctor Strange 2, became an easy target of fake AI p*rn videos.
Xochitl Gomez Talked About Her Fake AI P*rn Videos
Xochitl Gomez entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the engaging role of America Chavez through Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness. Since then she has risen to stardom and is set for various other roles in the entertainment world. During a recent podcast with The Squeeze, Gomez was honest about her viral fake AI p*rn videos, which brought immense stress not only to her but also to Gomez’s mother.

The actress was aware of the fact that it was pure AI and someone was trying to ruin her image, but Gomez still tried every way along with her mother to take those videos down. However, she mentioned that despite all the hard work she did, some videos are still on the internet. Gomez said:
“It wasn’t a good look for me…This is nothing to do with me, and it’s here on with my face.”
Xochitl Gomez mentioned that those videos were awful and difficult to take down. She was perplexed to understand why would anyone post such videos of her when she had nothing to do with anyone. The Roped star also shared feeling “uncomfortable” after finding out about the harsh reality. However, when asked about coping with such difficulties, Gomez revealed ignoring those videos and focusing on the bright side of her career.

Xochitl Gomez Received Death Threats After Playing America Chavez
In the same podcast, Xochitl Gomez talked about her acting career and the criticism she faced after portraying America Cahvez in Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness. The Baby-Sitters Club star even received death threats followed by her entry into the MCU, as many believed that Gomez wasn’t fit to play such an incredible role. While revealing about how she handled the backlash and hate, she added:
” I was getting death threats. And I was getting, like, videos of me green-screened, where they’re like throwing stuff at my face. I got my TikTok account banned six times in one day. They were mad because I was playing America. They didn’t think I was Latina enough”
Gomez opened up about freaking out of astonishment to witness the hate she was receiving from haters and added:
“There was also just the fact that I was playing a girl who is into girls, and they got so mad to the fact they were sending me death threats, sending me evil messages…these death threats, and all these things, all these articles and all these people were saying all the stuff…at that one point, it freaked me out.”
The American actress has been recently announced as the winner of Dancing With The Stars 2023 along with her dancing partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Xochitl Gomez grew up watching the show, and becoming one of its winners brought immense happiness to her.
