Angus Cloud was best known for his breakout role on Euphoria as the fan favorite Fezco. He had a strong relationship with Zendaya’s character, Rue, in the series. Cloud made his television debut as Fez. The actor landed the role after being approached on the street by a casting director in New York City. He accepted the role and used his platform to spread awareness for mental health and addiction.

Playing a drug dealer on the show was close to the actor, as he had seen his friends and family struggle with addiction. Euphoria focused heavily on drugs and addiction. The last two episodes have exposed the darker side of addiction, as well as what withdrawal and rock bottom looks like. While talking about those episodes, Cloud wished people were more sympathetic. He said,

“Sympathy, yo. Because addiction is serious and a lot of doctors call it a disease, it’s a real thing. People don’t understand it. It’s easy to talk about and it’s easy to say, ‘Just say no,”

He further added,

“But for someone who is in active addiction, that is damn near impossible and they will throw their whole life away and they will die because of this disease or whatever, and then they will say it’s not a disease because you ‘choose’ to do drugs. You don’t ‘choose’ to do cancer.”

Apart from Euphoria, the 25-year-old acted in films such as The Line and North Hollywood. He had numerous projects in post-production, including an untitled Universal Monsters picture, Freaky Tales, and Your Lucky Day.
