“It’s always time for family”: Tom Brady Set to Reunite With Gisele Bündchen For Thanksgiving as Buccaneers Legend Doesn’t Want to Spend the Special Day Alone
After separating from Gisele Bündchen a few weeks ago, Tom Brady indicates that he does not want to spend Thanksgiving alone this year. And he might even be reuniting with his ex-wife for the occasion. Although the NFL quarterback did not say anything specific about what his wishes were, his words can be interpreted to mean so.
In the latest episode of Let’s Go! Podcast, Brady discussed the importance of being with family during Thanksgiving. And with the celebration time approaching, he emphasized being a parent himself and mentioned the commitment parents make to their children during this time of the year. Brady is playing for Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a divorcé for the first time.
A quick tour of Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s Relationship History
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen tied the knot back in 2009. They share two kids named Benjamin and Vivian. However, the decade-long marriage did not last as the pair officially divorced in October of this year. The two were reported to have been living separately way before their separation was confirmed. And it also came to light that the talk of separation was not abrupt but had been an ongoing discussion for a long while. At the time the news of the divorce was confirmed by the People magazine, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback wrote via Instagram,
“We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together”
The divorce resulted due to Brady’s decision to unretire from the NFL within days of announcing his retirement. According to reports, the Brazilian model wanted him to spend time with his family more. But his profession made it impossible to do so. Therefore Bündchen decided to give Brady an ultimatum that required him to choose either their marriage or his profession. A source shared with US Weekly that,
“Gisele told Tom either he leaves football to spend time with the family or she is gone for good,”
Clearly, the NFL player chose his profession over marriage with Bündchen. However, he did share later that being a parent was just as important as his game.
Tom Brady Discusses Thanksgiving and the Importance of Family
This year after his divorce from ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, it will be the first time Tom Brady will be playing in the NFL as a man out of marriage. Brady has admitted his priorities in life previously in an episode of let’s Go! Podcast saying,
I’m really focused on two things, taking care of my family and certainly my children, and secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games.”
Therefore it is clear that with the approaching Thanksgiving celebration he wants to be with his children. He is already focused on his game. The NFL quarterback’s team will face the Cleveland Browns on the 27th of November. In the latest episode of the same podcast, Brady also emphasized the importance of being a good parent. He opened up by saying,
“I think of myself as a parent and being thankful during Thanksgiving, it’s always time for family”
Brady has not met his wife in person since the divorce. But there is a chance that the ex-couple might reunite for the sake of their children. He did not mention anything directly or specifically about his plans for Thanksgiving. However, his recent discussion on family time does indicate that he might visit his children on Thanksgiving and therefore his ex-wife also.
