“It’s embarrassing for me”: Jeremy Allen White’s ‘The Bear’ Co-stars Couldn’t Let Actor Live Down the Online “Carmy Thirst”
Jeremy Allen White has been the internet’s favorite White boy for quite some time now. It all started when a still showing the actor in character from his award-winning show The Bear went viral. The chef outfit, the tattooed biceps, and the curls had millions charmed. The Calvin Klein campaign has only taken things up a notch, but that’s an entirely different story.
Safe to say, White’s character Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto has inspired some intense s*x appeal. And apparently, the The Bear cast doesn’t let the actor live this down.
The Bear Cast Brought The “Carmy Thirst” To Jeremy Allen White’s Attention
The Bear starring Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach among others is one of the most critically acclaimed TV shows in recent times. It did wonderfully at the Golden Globes this year winning four awards. And the record at the latest Primetime Emmy Awards was nothing short of spectacular either.
After winning a series of awards, the show has been renewed for its third season. The absolutely stellar star cast shares a friendly bond off-screen. And apparently has a lot of fun with the “Carmy Thirst” online.

Incidentally, Allen White is the only cast member who is not on Twitter. But his co-stars don’t let him miss out. In an interview with Interview Magazine, White revealed how he’s been made aware of the cultural phenomenon his character has become.
“I’m not on Twitter, but everybody else on the show is, and we have a group text. So yes, Ebon [Moss-Bachrach] and Lionel [Boyce] and Ayo [Edebiri] and everybody have brought that to my attention. It’s embarrassing for me, but I understand. I don’t know.”
Telling and teasing your co-star about the internet going crazy over their looks must be one fun conversation.
Jeremy Allen White’s Response to the S*x Appeal His Character Has
Jeremy Allen White’s response to the knowledge of being almost a s*x symbol is a testament to his humility. As he told Interview Magazine:
“Chefs are hot. I like chefs—I think they’re cool as shit. There’s something attractive about anybody who’s incredibly gifted at any skill. And I think determination is also incredibly attractive. And Carmy is certainly on a mission, even if he’s uncertain of what exactly that mission is.”
Saying “being gifted at any skill is attractive” doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s not Carmy’s cooking people are fond of.
