British actor Henry Cavill is widely known for his portrayal of the superhero Superman in the DC Extended Universe from 2013 to 2022. In addition to this, he has also played the role of Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher. Unfortunately, he won’t be seen as either of these characters in the near future as he was dropped by James Gunn despite the director’s claims of bringing Cavill back as Superman.

Instead, Henry Cavill will be seen in a remake of 1980s fantasy action-adventure movie Highlander. This was confirmed in 2021 by Cavill himself by means of an Instagram post featuring a picture of the Deadline news about the remake. While much is still not known about it, recently John Wick director Chad Stahelski who will be directing the Highlander remake has given a much-anticipated update.
