“It’s not something I typically do”: Mark Consuelos Got Candid About ‘The nation’s weirdest social experiment’ With Kelly Ripa
Even before Ryan Seacrest left the syndicated talk show Live! as a co-host to Kelly Ripa, the latter’s husband Mark Consuelos appeared on it on several occasions. However, this time he has replaced Seacrest as a co-host to Ripa. And it seems now the viewers will get to see more of the couple’s chemistry as they discuss various topics.
Both of them have also since shared their views on the idea of being together at home and work. Consuelos who is more of an actor than a talk show host expressed his feelings about taking up the role of a co-host. He seems to have a positive outlook on the whole thing as far as it can be gathered from his interview.
Mark Consuelos Shares His Thoughts On Working With His Wife Kelly Ripa
The syndicated talk show Live! has some new changes to it since one of its co-hosts Ryan Seacrest left the show to focus on other of his ventures. Starting from April 17th this year, the show’s long-time host Kelly Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos has taken up the role.
Since the co-hosts are an actual couple who have been together for more than two decades, producer Michael Gelman also wants it to be the concept.
Furthermore, both Ripa and Consuelos have shared their thoughts and feelings about the two working together. Ripa once called the concept of a real husband and wife hosting the no.1 talk show in the USA together the “nation’s weirdest social experiment”.

As for Consuelos, he got candid about the whole thing in his interview with The Hollywood Reporter. According to the publication while discussing the role of a talk show co-host Consuelos opened up by saying,
“I love doing the show. It’s different. It’s not something I typically [do]. I’m an actor, so it was using a different muscle”
The actor also mentioned how he and Ripa had already worked together once in the 90s show All My Children. Nevertheless, many years have gone since then, therefore sharing work life with his wife is still a new feeling accordion to Consuelos.
