Ben Affleck Talks About The Negative Impact He Has Inflicted On His Kids
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are currently co-parenting their kids Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. As responsible parents, the actor duo try their best to keep their children away from the media glare. During his appearance on The Howard Stern Show in 2021, the Armageddon actor spoke about his addiction and how it has negatively impacted his kids. He said-
“My responsibility to my children is the highest responsibility I have. I don’t want to do anything that is painful or destructive to them if I can help it.”
He further shared-
“That being said, my life affects them. I’ve already inflicted that on them. Me and their mom are celebrities, and that’s hard. Let’s not bull***t each other. That is a cross to bear. That’s an albatross already.”
Recently, the actor was in the news for introducing his current wife to his kids. As Jennifer Lopez’s twins are good friends with Jennifer Garner’s kids, they are often spotted spending time together.
Ben Affleck Breaks His Silence On Being Victimised By Media
Ben Affleck’s addiction to alcoholism and his failed marriage has always diverted media attention. From being misquoted by the media to being a victim of his own revelations shown in a different light, the actor has been through a lot. During the promotion of Air in 2023, the actor appeared for an interview with the reputed media outlet The Hollywood Reporter. While talking about his addiction, his messy divorce, and his current wife, the actor opened up about being very guarded during the interviews due to his bad experience with the media. He said-
“I’ve become very guarded. And she’s right. I view these things as land mines, where if you say one wrong thing, your career might be over.”
He further explained-
“I had a really painful experience where I did an interview where I was really vulnerable, and the entire pickup was something that was not only not right, it was actually the opposite of what I meant.”
Ben Affleck also spoke about one of the darkest chapters of his life, his battle with alcoholism, and how he is trying to hit the gym every day for a healthy life because of his wife Jennifer Lopez.
