Tom Brady, the legendary NFL quarterback, has announced his retirement from the world of American Football twice. And he has no interest in announcing it a third time, despite recent rumors that he would join the Las Vegas Raiders for the upcoming season due to concerns over Jimmy Garoppolo. Even as he tries to become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, he claims he is not contemplating a second un-retirement and return to the NFL.
Tom Brady Emphasizes That He Is Really Done Playing
Here’s some bad news for those holding out for the quarterback to stage another comeback. The G.O.A.T. said himself that he is definitely, for sure, certainly, officially, not returning to football.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback addressed the rise in speculation that he might make a second comeback in an interview with SI Now host Robin Lundberg. This comes as his new team struggles with uncertainty following rumors that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had foot surgery in March.
“I’m certain I’m not playing again,” Brady said. “So I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to continue to profess that because I’ve already told people that lots of times.”
Tom Brady announced his retirement after the 2022 season on Feb. 1. He ended his career as the NFL’s leader in career passing yards (89,214) and touchdown passes (649). Brady set NFL records for most wins by a quarterback (251), Super Bowl wins, passing yards (89,214), and passing touchdowns (649) during his career with the New England Patriots (2000-19) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2020-22).

What’s Next For Tom Brady?
After investing in the Women’s NBA’s Las Vegas Aces, who like the Raiders are controlled by Mark Davis, Brady is apparently going to buy stakes in the Raiders as well. The agreement would need the approval of NFL owners.
He does not, however, intend to replace any injured Raiders quarterbacks; rather, he intends to start working as an NFL television commentator in 2024.
“But I’m looking forward to my broadcasting job at Fox next year,” he said. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity ahead with the Raiders and we’re in the process of that along with the other different things that I’m a part of professionally and in my personal life.”
Brady’s 10-year-long, and $375 million worth contract with Fox Sports begins in 2024.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion values family time now and wants to be present for his three children.
“Just spending as much time with my kids as I can and seeing them grow up and support the different things that they have going on,” Brady said. “And that’s a very important job. And I take them all pretty seriously.”
He received $333 million in contracts over the course of his 23-year NFL career.
