The Mandalorian is known to be one of the most popular live-action shows in the world. The show is also the first live-action series of the legendary franchise, Star Wars, and follows the adventures of Din Djarin who tries to protect Grogu from the bounty hunters.

While season three of the show was concluded earlier this year, we will take a look back at a fact that not many people would know, a moment in the show’s latest instalment that did not happen in the history of the franchise.

How did Jack Black’s addition in The Mandalorian change the history of the franchise?

In the sixth episode of the third season of  The Mandalorian, Jack Black and Lizzo make celebrity guest appearances as Captain Bombardier and the Duchess of the planet Plazir-15. During a banquet scene, Black sings a small snippet of the song “Do You Love Me?” by Fiddler on the Roof.

Interestingly, this is the first time that a song from the Earth has been sung in the Star Wars franchise. It is worth noting that Star Wars music has always been original and this was the first instance when a song from the Earth was used and it has certainly surprised many die-hard fans of the franchise.

Despite it not being a rule, not using real-life songs in nearly 46 years of its existence made it an unsaid rule in a way. An interesting fallout of this unsaid rule being broken is that it calls into question whether or not Earth is a part of the Star Wars universe. That said, with the history of the franchise changed, it will interesting to see if it continues in its future instalments.

Fans speculate Pedro Pascal’s return for The Mandalorian season 4

It is widely known that the fourth season of The Mandalorian has been in the works for quite some time now. However, if and when the next instalment of the franchise gets made, there is a chance that Pedro Pascal will not be a part of it. While speaking about his return for The Mandalorian season 4 during an interview with RadioTimes, Pascal had this to say:

“There’s such preciousness around even saying that I’m signed up for season four if it’s already written, I’m naturally a blabbermouth, but I really get protective of it, because I get a thrill out of the surprises that are in store for the audience.”

Moreover, there have been rumours about The Mandalorian season 4 being a theatrical movie instead of a TV show. That said, it will be interesting to see in what form the next instalment of the franchise does get made.
