Jada Pinkett Smith Likes a “Rugged” Will Smith More Than His Funny and Welcoming Side on the Big Screen
Will Smith is one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood. The Men In Black actor has been a part of almost every genre of movie, starting from sci-fi movies like I, Robot to heart-touching dramas like The Pursuit Of Happyness. The phenomenal fan following of the actor needs no description in the world of entertainment.
The 55-year-old actor tied the knot with Scream star Jada Pinkett Smith in 1997. The actor couple have stood by each other like a rock through the ups and downs of their life. The couple share two kids Jaden and Willow together. Will Smith is a multi-talented actor and his wide range of filmography speaks volumes, but his wife loves his action-hero side more than his funny man side.
Jada Pinkett Smith Loves Will Smith’s Rugged Side More Than His Funny Side
During an interview with Mamarazzi via Yahoo! in 2017, Jada Pinkett Smith spoke about her husband and even mentioned his rugged look. The Matrix Resurrection star loves her husband’s rugged look more than his funny and welcoming side.
During the interview, Jada Pinkett Smith said-
“When [Will] has a little gruff and then he adds his humor to that. The gruff grounds him and then he puts the humor part on it that we love about Will. … He doesn’t show that persona a lot in public because I feel like for him, Will likes to be welcoming.”
She further added-
” He likes to bring happiness and joy to people and that’s lovely. But as his wife, I see that rugged aspect of him that’s really awesome. So you get to see that in I, Robot and Hancock, and I’m like, ‘That’s the part that they don’t know about you!’”
Jada Pinkett Smith Did Not Like Will Smith Going Full Monty For A Scene In I, Robot
Will Smith’s I, Robot was released in 2004. The sci-fi drama is based on a hypothetical world where robots and human beings co-exist. Based on Isaac Asimov’s book of the same name, the movie went on to make $353. 1 million against the budget of $120 million. Will Smith had landed himself into a serious problem due to a n*de scene in I, Robot.
During an interview with Female First, Sharon Stone mentioned about being impressed with Will Smith’s n*de scene. The actor said-
“He looks very good in the n*de. Tell him thank you from me.”
However, during an interview with Female First, Will Smith clearly stated that his wife Jada Pinkett Smith was not impressed by his unclothed scenes in the movie I, Robot. She made him sit and interrogated him until he convinced her that he was not involved with his co-star Bridget Moynahan. He said-
“She didn’t like it when I came home with my skin all baby soft after performing n*de. And she didn’t like it either when I came home with my body all covered in bruises. I got away with the shower scene when I explained I wasn’t with Bridget and the n*dity was relevant to the movie.”
That particular n*de scene went on to cost a fortune to the production house as computer graphic effects were used to digitally enhance the scene. With an IMDb rating of 7.1 out of 10, I, Robot is available on Amazon Prime.
