Now coming under unavoidable circumstances, Smith declared her decision of canceling the show for the time being.

Sharing a statement via social media, Smith expressed her gratitude, regret, and concern for her show. After running for five years, fans are heartbroken to witness the cancellation of the buzzy show due to Meta’s decision.

Amid the existing round of layoffs, Meta witnessed chaos with more than 20,000 employees leaving their jobs voluntarily. With the Head of Development and Programming at Meta departing from the parent company, Facebook was bound to shutter the FB Watch originals.
Thus, destroying the efforts of several scripted and non-scripted shows, Deadline reported the decision of Meta resulting in the cancellation of Red Table Talk. Even Elizabeth Olsen-fronted Sorry For Your Loss and Sacred Lies suffers a setback due to the sudden change of plan of Facebook.
However, the news of the uber-popular show, Red Table Talk being canceled for the time being is breaking hearts of fans. Running for a neat five years, hosting five seasons, Jada Smith’s podcast entertained its audience with internet-breaking conversations.

Addressing the heartbreaking news, Jada Smith is hopeful for a new home for her show. After Meta’s decision was finalized on April 26th, Smith released a statement on April 27th via Instagram addressing the news.
Expressing her gratitude, Jada Smith wrote, “We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch”. Touching upon the sad news of layoffs and quits, Smith added, “We are sorry to see the entire team disbanded”. Wishing best regards, the actress wrote, “We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come”.
Further, giving hope to her audience, Jada Pinkett Smith concluded her statement by writing, “We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon”. Clearly stating, it isn’t the end for Red Table Talk, Smith is just looking for a new streaming platform for her show.
