James Gunn’s first project as the DC co-head is based on Superman. The director showed the exit door to one of the most loved faces of DC Henry Cavill in order to introduce a fresh and young face for the superheroes character.

James Gunn’s Wife Jennifer Holland Would Not Be A Part Of Superman: Legacy

James Gunn’s wife Jennifer Holland played Emilia Harcourt in HBO Max’s Peacemaker in 2022. The show was written and executively produced by the DC Co-head James Gunn. According to the rumors in the entertainment world, there was a possibility of roping in Jennifer Holland’s Emilia Harcourt in the Superman reboot project.

However, James Gunn went on to debunk the rumors and clarified that his wife would not appear in the Superman: Legacy project.

According to a conversation with a fan on his personal Threads, the DC Co-head mentioned-

Q: “Will Harcourt appear in Superman Legacy?

Gunn: “No,  she won’t.”

However, there is a possibility of Jennifer Holland’s cameo in a DCU movie, but with respect to another character. Most probably, Jennifer Holland’s Emilia Harcourt could be seen in DC’s first live-action project Waller series, which would focus on Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller.

Everything You Need To Know About The Cast Of James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy

DC Co-head James Gunn is way too preoccupied with setting up the cast for his upcoming movie Superman: Legacy. The Suicide Squad director has already announced a few names for the Superman reboot after robust auditions and multiple screen tests. The Politician fame actor, who looks strikingly similar to the former Superman, Henry Cavill has been chosen to play the titular character in the superhero movie. David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan OF The Marvelous Ms. Maisel would be playing Superman and Lois Lane respectively.

During an interview with the entertainment outlet Entertainment Weekly in 2019, the 29-year-old actor said-

“Superman is an amazing character, a classic American character. He’s been done right and he’s been done wrong. It’s time for another right one. Little did he know that the next (hopefully, right) one would be starring him.

The Barry star Anthony Carrigan would be portraying the character of Metamorpho in the James Gunn-directed Superman: Legacy. During an interview with the media outlet Deadline, the actor spoke about the similarity of Metamorpho with his real life. The Gotham actor said-

“I certainly think that at least in the source material, Metamorpho, when he was transformed into his superhero state, I think he was very reluctant to have it because he felt like he was a freak and he felt like he was no longer who he was,”
