Mila Kunis has done a lot of movies and shows, but her most popular appearance is perhaps in That ’70s Show. She started acting professionally at a young age and landed her role as Jackie Burkhart at 14. The show’s casting directors were looking to cast actors who were at least 18. So, the actress outsmarted them by saying that she would be 18 soon but did not tell when.

The unsuspecting acting directors cast her and even though they found out the truth later, the producers let her do the role because they believed she was the best fit. It turned out to be her big break when the show became immensely successful, but she did not really understand just how big of a hit it was until she learned about her bank balance when she was ready to move out of her parent’s house.

Mila Kunis was only 9 when she did a couple of commercials and also appeared in TV shows like Walker, Texas Ranger, and 7th Heaven. She also appeared as the younger version of the titular character in the 1998 biographical TV film, Gia, in which Angelina Jolie played the lead character.

That ’70s Show was the turning point in her career. She starred alongside her future husband Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Debra Jo Rupp, and several others in the show, which aired for 8 seasons between 1998 and 2006. The sitcom was nominated for 16 Primetime Emmy Awards, and Kunis won the Young Star Awards for Best Young Actress for two years.

During a recent appearance at The Rich Eisen Show, Kunis admitted that she was not very aware of how big of an impact the show was having until she decided to move out from her family home and her father sat her down to discuss her finances. She said:

I didn’t know it was a hit until I knew what my bank account was, and I didn’t know what my bank account was until I was 18.

She further said that all she cared about was working and money was never a concern. So, it was not until her father showed her how much she had earned that she realized the show had been doing really well.

Kunis worked with Ashton Kutcher in That ’70s Show, but the duo did not start dating until 2012. They got engaged in 2014 and tied the knot the following year. They share two kids and have been happily married despite their busy schedules and the ups and downs they have faced.

These days, the Black Swan actress is busy promoting the movie Goodrich, in which she stars alongside Michael Keaton. Recently, she was at the film’s screening in Santa Monica, California. She also did a Q&A session after the screening.

During the session, a fan asked her advice for maintaining a work-life balance after sharing that he and his wife would be parents soon (via Yahoo Entertainment). Kunis said:

There’s no such thing as balance, so don’t strive for that. Just do the best you can with what you’ve got. Be nice to each other. Be kind to each other. Put each other first, and then put the kid first to the both of you.

Lately, Kutcher and Kunis’ relationship has been put under the microscope due to the former’s past connection with Diddy, who is facing some rather daunting allegations. Previously, they faced backlash because they wrote letters to the judge in support of Danny Masterson, who was convicted for r*pe.

That ’70s Show is available for streaming on Peacock.
