Between the two of them, it was the actress who was famous at the time, thanks to her role as Pam. Similarly, when Chris Pratt married Anna Faris, the latter was more successful between the two of them.

Jenna Fischer got married to James Gunn in 2000. At the time, both of them were yet to make their breakthrough – Fischer in acting and Gunn in screenwriting as well as filmmaking. The two met through the DC Studios’ chairperson’s brother, Sean Gunn.
According to Cleveland.com, Fischer and Sean Gunn first met years ago at an acting class set up by the former’s mother. At the time, neither of them could have imagined that they would become each other’s relatives through James Gunn. In 2005, when the American version of The Office premiered, Fischer was suddenly in the limelight, but her then-husband had yet to do it.
In 2006, Gunn finally started gaining some recognition for his work on the 2006 horror-comedy Slither. Unfortunately, the couple called it quits in September the next year. They released a joint statement announcing their separation (via Today). Despite the divorce, they have continued to be friends.
Chris Pratt and Anna Faris had a somewhat similar situation when it came to success in their respective careers. In 2007, the duo met during the filming of Take Me Home Tonight, released in 2011. They got married in 2009 and had a son in 2012. However, their relationship came to an end in 2017.
It has to be noted that Pratt had his breakthrough with his role as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation in the same year as he got married to Faris. On the other hand, Faris was already quite popular as an actress. She made her breakthrough with the Scary Movie in 2000 and starred in movies like Lost in Translation and Brokeback Mountain.
Jenna Fischer’s Present Husband Lee Kirk Helped Her Get Through a Tough Time in Her Life
Recently, Fischer took to her Instagram to reveal that she was diagnosed with Stage 1 triple-positive breast cancer in December 2023 but that she was now cancer-free after successful treatment. She stated that early detection helped in the treatment.
In the post, she implored her fans to consult with their doctors and schedule annual mammogram appointments. She thanked her friend and former co-star, Angela Kinsey for her unwavering support. Another person whom she mentioned in her post was her husband, Lee Kirk. She wrote:
I need to mention my husband Lee Kirk who has been my side through all of this. And I mean literally by my side… surgeries, chemotherapy, doctor appointments, endless googling, late night ugly cries. He was there for it all. I knew he was a catch when I married him. I was right.
Besides her wonderful husband whom she married in 2010, she also thanked everyone else who helped through her cancer treatment journey in whichever way they could. Thankfully, the actress is doing much better now.
