Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Season 2 Gets Shocking Update: Fan-Favorite Actor Reportedly Leaving Show
Jenna Ortega’s highly anticipated Wednesday Season 2 has yet again made its way through the headlines after the rumors regarding one of the fan-favorite actors leaving shows have been around. As per the reports, Percy Hynes White, who played the role of Xavier Thorpe in Wednesday’s Season 1, might have been dropped from the upcoming season of the series after recent assault allegations.
Percy Hynes White, Jenna Ortega’s Co-Star, Exits Wednesday Season 2
After the success of Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Season 1, fans have been eagerly waiting around for its second season. However, the recent updates on the departure of Percy Hynes White from the second season of Wednesday have the fans disheartened.
Rumors have been around that Percy Hynes White, who played the role of Xavier Thorpe in season one will not be seen in the upcoming season of the series. According to the sources of DailyMail.com due to the sexual assault allegations against the actor, Netflix has written his character out of the second season.

The allegations of sexual assault were made against White by an anonymous Twitter (formerly X) user in January. Taking on to X the user claimed that White had thrown a party purposefully to try and get women drunk and take advantage of them. Even though the tweet has been deleted since then, reports have been around that it is the main reason why he is being dropped from the series.
However, there is not been any official statement from Percy Hynes White or Netflix on this matter till now.
Percy Hynes White Responds to Assault Allegation
Six months after the allegation was made Percy Hynes White issued a statement addressing it through a social media post. Taking on his Instagram story White came out in June to defend himself.
Addressing the allegations White wrote “Earlier this year, somebody I’ve never met started a campaign of misinformation against me online. Because of this, my family has been doxxed, and my friends have received death threats. The rumors are false. I can’t accept the portrayal of me as someone bigoted, or criminally negligent of people’s safety.”
He further stated that his underage photos have been used against him. White also stated that his friend Jane has been falsely portrayed as a victim and even her efforts to set the records straight have been ignored.
Even though fans came out in support of White’s statement, many were intrigued as to why he avoided specifics on the allegations and did not address why he was responding months after the initial accusations surfaced.
