However, Lawrence’s friendship with fellow actress Emma Stone holds a special place in her heart. Their friendship, which has stood the test of time, had an unusual beginning.

It all started when Stone reached out to Lawrence after getting her number from Woody Harrelson. Joy star response was typically straightforward, replying with a blunt “F*ck off”.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence stated, “And we’ve been really good friends ever since.” Further, she joked, “I feel like it was our version of The Notebook—365 texts.”

The pair bonded over their shared love of acting and their similar personalities. American Hustle actress explained,

“We both really do love each other and care about each other as people, beyond being actors. I support her completely when it comes to working, and I feel the same from her, but I know we’d be friends even if we didn’t do the same job.”

They don’t see each other as competitors, which is one of their friendship qualities. Instead, they support each other’s careers and accomplishments. For instance, Lawrence was one of the people who inspired Stone to take on the role of Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Actress Stone has attributed her decision to take on the role of Gwen Stacy in the blockbuster franchise The Amazing Spider-Man to the inspiring words of Lawrence.

Stone revealed that she had initial concerns about joining such a huge film franchise, but hearing Lawrence speak about her concerns in interviews for The Hunger Games helped her overcome her fears.

Stone said, “I love Jennifer Lawrence, and I watched a lot of her interviews for Hunger Games. It was kind of the same thing she was feeling.”

According to Digital Spy’s report, Stone shared,

“What scared me was the idea of, ‘What could happen to my life after doing something like this?’ But the part and the process outweighed that fear.”

She expressed her admiration for her, who was also hesitant to take on her famous role at the time, she said,

“It felt like a stupid reason to not be part of this – what might happen [and] how [my] life could change didn’t feel like enough of a reason to not play Gwen, not to get to be involved with this, and not to get to act with Andrew [Garfield] or to get to tell the story in a different way.”

Despite her initial reservations, Stone ultimately decided to take on the role, which she landed on the day her breakout film, Easy A, was released.
