J.Lo Accused of Using Body Double in The My World Commerical
The 53-year-old singer never stepped into her old neighborhood during the shooting of the commercial. According to The Smoking Gun, J. Lo used a body double for the My World commercial which simply meant that her return to the old neighborhood was faked.
The outlet reported, “The role of ‘Jenny from the Block’ was played by a body double, according to two sources familiar with the commercial production. While the Lopez lookalike was actually behind the wheel in the Bronx, Lopez herself was in Los Angeles, where she was filmed inside a Fiat 500.”
To think that she did not appear in NYC’s poorest borough which was once her hometown and ask the company for a body double, showed just how her native place inspires her.
