However, reports have mentioned that they were very cordial with each other and are in the process of going ahead with their divorce. According to reports from InTouch Weekly, Ben Affleck’s loved ones, including ex-Jennifer Garner, best friend Matt Damon, and more, are worried about the divorce from Jennifer Lopez taking a toll on him. Lopez is also concerned about his well-being. The source shared,
Ben Affleck has been throwing himself into work as a healthy escape amid the split. However, there’s always a worry that he’ll return to his vices when the going gets tough.
The publication reported that Garner, who has supported the actor throughout his battle against alcohol addiction, is leading a ‘mercy squad’ who are constantly checking upon him to ensure he doesn’t slip back into his old habits. They added that the Batman actor may come across as a happy and cheery person, and for the most part he is, but he certainly has his down moments.
The sources shared that the divorce did take a toll on him, as his reputation has taken a huge hit, and at this moment he is grappling with a lot of guilt. Back in April, reports of Jennifer Lopez wanting Affleck to quit smoking surfaced after Life & Style reported that she had set down some rules. The source at the time shared,

After Affleck and Garner called it quits in 2015, they have remained close friends and have been co-parenting their three children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel. Ben Affleck has leaned upon Jennifer Garner for comfort and support amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, and this does not sit right with the actress-singer.
According to reports by InTouch Weekly, Lopez is convinced that the former couple is one step away from getting back together, adding;

She kept hoping that she and Ben might work things out, but he put in zero effort to fix things and only seemed interested in spending time with Jen and his kids.
The source added that the singer-actress is left wondering if she was some sort of pawn that the actor used to try and win his ex-wife back. In their two years of marriage, Affleck reportedly only raved about Garner like she was a sort of saint and claimed that there was nothing to be jealous of Lopez.
Sources mentioned that Lopez never liked the fact that he’d always go back to Garner whenever they fought. Now not only Affleck has moved closer to his ex-wife and the kids but also flown down from California to Connecticut along with Garner to see their eldest Violet as she enters Yale University.
